手巻きの薄型モデル、オイスターロイヤル。Ref.6426は、1950年代から1980年代まで長きに渡って製造されており、時代に合わせてデザインを様々に変えています。そのため、数多くの意匠を探すことができます。元々のOYSTER ROYALは手巻きのモデルとして、SPEED KINGより大きめの、30mmを少し超えたミッドサイズとして登場しています。ケースの微妙に違うRef.を経て、腕なじみの良い34.5mm前後のこちらのサイズに落ち着きます。1966年代中頃の本商品では、多面カットのくさび型インデックス、アルファハンドとクラシックな意匠が集まっています。ダイヤルはブラックギルトで、ロイヤルでは珍しく希少なパターンです。ブレスレットはリベットオイスターRef.7205、エンドリンク57、クラスプデイト67/1です。

ダイヤルは艶を残しながらも、インデックス周りなどはマットな質感に経年変化を見せています。インデックスやフラットのクラウンロゴ、針はメッキの反射が状態の良さをアピールします。ケースは傷が少なく、肉厚で高評価です。夜光塗料のベージュカラーが良いヴィンテージテイストを醸し出しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

この年式でこのダイヤルデザインは古すぎるように思われる方もいるかもしれませんが、6時位置の「T SWISS T」に着目すると正しい組み合わせであることがわかります。「SWISS」がギルトで、「T」がプリントであることから、ダイヤルの製造自体は1960年前後でしたが、保管期間が長く、のちに原子力委員会による新しい規制に適合するために新たに「T」表記をプリントしたものだと推察しました。

The hand-wound, slim Oyster Royal model, Ref. 6426, was produced from the 1950s to the 1980s, undergoing various design changes over the decades. This results in a wide range of stylistic variations. Originally introduced as a slightly larger hand-wound model compared to the Speed King, the initial Oyster Royal measured slightly over 30mm in a mid-size. Over different references with subtle case changes, it settled into the more comfortable size of around 34.5mm. This particular piece from the mid-1960s features multi-faceted wedge indices and alpha hands, combining classic design elements. The dial is a rare black gilt, unusual for the Royal line. The bracelet is a riveted Oyster Ref. 7205, with end links 57 and a clasp dated 67/1.

The dial retains its gloss, though it exhibits a matte texture around the indices due to aging. The indices, flat crown logo, and hands reflect light beautifully, indicating their excellent condition. The case has minimal scratches, maintaining its robust and desirable thickness.
