ロレックスがオイスターケースを開発する以前の、1930年代に作られていたプリンスエレガント。ローズゴールドのアクセントのある、レクタングルケースにはトノー型の機械が納められており、オールドロレックスの名作の一つとされています。ケースバックにはRolex, 25 Records Universels, Geneva Suisseの刻印が確認できます。ダイヤルは東京都ダイヤル。時分針、スモールセコンドはブルースチールです。

ケースは使用感が現れています。ケースバックのシリアルナンバーとリファレンスの刻印はよく残っています。ダイヤルは年式の通り、激しく経年変化が起きています。針はゴールドとブルーのどちらも状態が良いです。弊社にてオーバーホール済みです。

1930年代の角形ロレックスは、ドレッシーな紳士のアイテムとして最高峰の逸品でした。当時のデザイン様式はアールデコ全盛期です。機械的な造形が好まれた時代の中、最も最先端であっただろうこちらは、時代の片鱗を味わえる遺産なのでしょう。

Introducing the Prince Elegant, crafted in the 1930s, a masterpiece from the era before Rolex developed the Oyster case. Housed within the rectangular case with rose gold accents is a tonneau-shaped movement, making it one of the iconic creations of old Rolex. The case back bears the engraving Rolex, 25 Records Universels, Geneva Suisse. The dial features the Tokyo Dial, with blue steel hour and minute hands, along with a small seconds sub-dial.

The case exhibits signs of use, and the serial number and reference engravings on the case back are well-preserved. The dial, as expected from its age, displays intense patina. Both the gold and blue hands are in excellent condition. The watch has undergone an overhaul at our store.
