時計デザイナーとして有名なジェラルド・ジェンタが手掛けた「Cラインケース」が特徴的なコンステレーションです。ケースとラグを一体にデザインし、ブレスレットまで統一感をもたせてデザインしています。こちらはその後継機で、アクリル風防からガラスに、また搭載ムーブメントは次世代機のCal.1011に変更されています。

スポーティーになりがちなCラインケースながら、シンプルなダイアルを合わせてドレス感を失わない秀逸な意匠です。ペンシルハンドにバーインデックスの組み合わせは当時のドレスモデルのコンビネーションです。ダイヤルはメタリックなグレーでシルバーとの差異化が図られた、当時としては斬新なデザインだったことでしょう。オメガ純正のブレスレットを装備しています。ブレスレット単体での入手は難しいため、本体購入時に付属しているかどうかは大きなポイントです。

ケースは傷が少なく、元のエッジをよく残した良プロポーションです。ケースサイドにある鏡面の小さな面は均一に残っています。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。針やレターのブラックプリントは発色良く残っており、当時の質感をそのままに残しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

文字盤記載の“CHRONOMETER クロノメーター”とは、国際標準化機構が規定したＩＳＯ３１５９の基準に沿って、公的機関が姿勢や温度の差による厳しい精度試験を行い、クリアしたムーブメントにのみ与えられる“高精度”であることの認証です。

COMMENT

This Constellation timepiece is distinguished by the distinctive "C-Line Case" designed by the renowned watch designer Gerald Genta. The case and lugs are seamlessly integrated, and even the bracelet contributes to the overall unified design. This is the successor model, featuring a shift from an acrylic crystal to glass and an upgraded movement to the next-generation Cal.1011.

Despite the tendency for the C-Line Case to exude a sporty vibe, the clever design maintains a dressy elegance by pairing it with a simple dial. The combination of pencil hands and bar indexes is reminiscent of the dress models of that era. The metallic grey dial, differentiating itself from the standard silver, was a novel design approach at the time. Equipped with an authentic Omega bracelet, obtaining the bracelet separately can be challenging, making it a significant point to consider if it comes included with the watch.

The case is minimally scratched, retaining its original edges and displaying a well-proportioned structure. The small polished surfaces on the case sides remain consistent. The dial is in mint condition, with the black-printed hands and letters maintaining vibrant colors, preserving the tactile quality of that era. It has been professionally disassembled and cleaned by our experts.

The "CHRONOMETER" inscription on the dial signifies the certification of precision according to the standards of ISO 3159 set by the International Organization for Standardization. It undergoes rigorous accuracy tests conducted by public institutions, certifying only movements that clear these tests as "high-precision."

Introduced in 1952, the Constellation remains one of Omega's flagship models to this day. It represents Omega's answer to what a technically superior dress watch should be.
