COMMENT

ケースは1970年代らしい角張ったフォルムを持ち、縦ヘアライン仕上げとサンレイ仕上げの回転ベゼルを組み合わせた精緻な意匠で構成されています。ブルーダイヤルはミドルケースと連続するような縦ヘアライン仕上げで、ホワイトのペンシルハンドとスクエアインデックスが配され、スポーティでありながらも整然とした印象を与えます。針の中央とインデックス外周には夜光塗料が施され、夜間の視認性も確保されています。ムーブメントにはCal.1481を搭載し、リューズ操作によるクイックチェンジ機能を備えています。

ケースは小キズこそ見られるものの、ファセットが美しく残され、端正な輪郭を維持しています。リューズの細かな刻みの摩耗も少なく、良好な印象を与えます。ダイヤルはエイジングの影響がごく少なく、12時位置インデックス上部にわずかなプリントのめくれがある程度で、視認性には影響しません。針は色調変化のない良好な状態を保ち、インデックスは鏡面のような輝きを見せています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

＜Geneve（ジュネーブ）＞シリーズは、コンステレーション、デビル、スピードマスター、シーマスターなどのシリーズの中でエントリーモデルとして1964年に登場。エントリーモデルとはいえ、発売当時の国産機械式時計などと比べるとはるかに高性能で、高価な時計でした。デザイン性が高く、メンズ、レディス共に都会的でスタイリッシュなモデルが多いラインです。現在では生産されていないモデルのため、アンティークでしか味わえない魅力があります。

COMMENT

The case reflects the angular styling typical of the 1970s, combining vertical brushing with a sunray-finished rotating bezel to create a refined, multi-textured aesthetic. The blue dial carries the same vertical brushing as the mid-case, producing a seamless flow across the design. White pencil hands and square indexes lend the watch a sporty yet orderly character. Luminous material applied to the centre of the hands and around the indexes ensures visibility in low light. Powering the watch is the Cal. 1481 movement, equipped with a quick-set date operated via the crown.

The case shows only minor wear, with sharp, well-defined facets preserving its crisp profile. The crown retains much of its fine knurling with little evidence of wear, further reinforcing its well-kept impression. The dial is largely unaffected by ageing, showing only a small lift to the printing above the 12 o’clock index, negligible in terms of legibility. The hands remain free of discolouration, while the indexes still shine with a mirror-like brilliance. Fully disassembled, cleaned, and serviced in-house.

The Genève Diver stands apart from its contemporary Seamaster line, blending water-resistant functionality with a case design reminiscent of the Cosmic 2000. More than a tool watch, it translated diver aesthetics into a slimmer, fashion-forward form that prioritised comfort and wearability. This model exemplifies Omega’s willingness to expand its design vocabulary during the era, resulting in a truly distinctive creation.

BRAND

Launched in 1964, the Genève line served as Omega’s entry-level collection alongside the Constellation, De Ville, Speedmaster, and Seamaster families. Despite its positioning, these watches were technically superior and more costly than many domestic mechanical watches of the time. The collection was celebrated for its design variety, offering stylish options for both men and women. With production long discontinued, Genève models are now appreciated as vintage pieces with unique appeal unavailable outside the period.
