1950年代に入り、両翼の砂時計ロゴがダイヤルに配されるようになります。その初期の意匠を備えた一本。ツートン仕上げのダイヤルに、立体的な多面カットインデックスと12・3・9のアラビア数字が配され、スポーティかつ均整の取れた表情を見せます。スモールセコンドは一段下がった段差のある構造で、レコード状の繊細な溝が刻まれており、ディテールへのこだわりが感じられます。ケースは厚い金を被せたゴールドトップで、ラグはシャープなテーパーデザイン。えぐるような面取りによりスタイリッシュな印象を与えます。スクリューバック仕様で、当時としては高い実用性を誇ります。搭載ムーブメントは、評価の高い手巻きキャリバー12.68Z。

ケースは小傷がごくわずかで、エッジを含めて全体のプロポーションが美しく保たれています。ラグの面取りは魅力的で、造形美を堪能できる仕上がりです。消耗の出やすいリューズは綺麗な状態を保ち、丁寧に扱われてきたことが伺えます。ダイヤルはツートン仕上げがくっきりと残るミントコンディション。夜光塗料は美しく枯れたベージュに変化しており、ヴィンテージならではの表情を添えています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

1950年台はロンジンにとってかわりオメガ全盛の時代。製造数はオメガに比べて少ないです。しかしこの時代までのロンジンは、製造クオリティーの高さとデザイン性の両面において評価が高いです。現存数の少ない良好なコンディションの個体は年々入手困難となっています。ツートンダイヤルとアラビックインデックスを理想的なコンディションで備えた本機は、際立った存在といえるでしょう。

In the 1950s, Longines began adorning its dials with the winged hourglass logo—an emblem of precision and prestige. This piece represents an early example of that design transition, featuring a two-tone dial with faceted multi-angled indexes and applied Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9 o'clock. The balanced and subtly sporty layout is further enhanced by the recessed small seconds subdial, which is finely grooved with a concentric record-like texture—reflecting the brand’s meticulous attention to detail. The case is gold-filled and features sharp, tapering lugs with sculpted bevels, offering a refined, architectural presence. A screw-down caseback provides a high level of practicality for its era.

The case remains in superb condition with only minimal surface wear, and the original proportions—including the sharply defined edges—have been beautifully preserved. The beveled lugs are particularly striking, emphasizing the sculptural elegance of the case design. The crown, often prone to wear, is remarkably well-preserved, indicating careful past ownership. The dial retains its crisp two-tone contrast in outstanding, mint condition. The luminous material has aged to a soft beige tone, adding warmth and vintage character. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.

Longines from this era are highly regarded for their precision and design sophistication, and continue to attract serious collectors today.
