1920年代のパテックフィリップ。ケースは18金無垢イエローゴールド。18金無垢イエローゴールドの、レクタングルケースです。ダイヤルは縦ヘアライン仕上げを採用しています。ロゴ、ミニッツトラック、スモールセコンドはインレイエンボス（象嵌）加工により、盛り上がっています。彫金師がコンマ数ミリの彫りを入れ、エナメル塗料を流し込み焼き固めるパテックフィップやヴァセロンなどでしか見られない、稀有な印字製法です。インデックスはアプライドのブレゲ数字、針はスペード針と懐中時計を想わせる意匠です。

ムーブメントは当時の最高峰の高精度ムーブメントです。ADJUSTED 5 POSITIONS （5姿勢調整）3HEAT,COLD,（温度補正）ISOCHRONISM（等時性調整）と精度に対する並々ならぬ自負が窺えます。また、ゼンマイを巻き上げる丸穴車、角穴車はウルフトゥースと呼ばれるクラシックな歯形を持っています。

ダイヤルの下では、ゼンマイの入った香箱が見られますが見慣れないパーツが上についています。「巻き止め機構 = Geneva Stop」と呼ばれるこれは、ゼンマイのパワーが弱くなった時に、時計を無理に動かさず、止めてしまう仕組みです。ゼンマイ4回転分のパワーリザーブは32時間と短いですが、その分、高精度で動くようにコントロールされています。懐中時計で見られるような、クラシカルな意匠に富んだ素晴らしいムーブメントです。

素晴らしいコンディションを保持しています。ケースサイドへとなだらかに続くラグのエッジが残っています。ホールマークの状態も良好です。ダイヤルは年式を考慮すると、大変美しいコンディションです。わずかな傷や経年変化は見られるものの、実物は写真ほど気になりません。針やインデックスは上面の鏡面仕上げが状態良く現存しています。こちらは、分解掃除後のお渡しになります。1ヶ月ほどお時間をいただきます。

A Patek Philippe from the 1920s. The case is solid 18K yellow gold, featuring a rectangular shape. The dial adopts a vertical brushed finish. The logo, minute track, and small seconds sub-dial are elevated through an inlaid embossing process, a rare technique seen only in Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin, where engravers carve out tiny grooves and fill them with enamel paint before baking, resulting in exquisite detailing. The indices feature applied Breguet numerals, and the hands have a spade design reminiscent of pocket watches.

The movement is a pinnacle of precision for its time, boasting adjustments in 5 positions, temperature compensation (3 Heat, Cold), and isochronism adjustment, showcasing extraordinary craftsmanship and confidence in accuracy. Additionally, the winding wheels, known as the mainspring barrel and the ratchet wheel, feature classic "wolf tooth" teeth.

Beneath the dial, a barrel containing the mainspring is visible, but what stands out are unfamiliar components mounted on top. Known as the "Geneva Stop," this mechanism halts the watch when the mainspring's power diminishes, preventing forced movement and preserving accuracy. Despite a relatively short power reserve of 32 hours for four rotations of the mainspring, it is meticulously controlled for high precision, reminiscent of the classical designs found in pocket watches.

This timepiece is in remarkable condition, with edges of the lugs smoothly transitioning along the case side. The hallmark is well-preserved, and considering its age, the dial is in remarkably beautiful condition, with minor scratches and aging that are hardly noticeable in person compared to photographs. The hands and indices retain their mirror-like finish on the surface in excellent condition. It will be delivered after disassembly and cleaning, requiring approximately one month.

This Patek Philippe hails from an era notably devoid of references or caliber names, representing a particularly ancient period.
