This Audemars Piguet dress watch from the 1980s is distinguished by its geometric architecture and exquisitely executed goldwork. The finely engraved bezel and bracelet embody the maison’s pursuit of harmonising innovation with tradition. The solid 18K gold case recalls the company’s celebrated “Cobra” designs, while the matte blue dial—set with diamond indexes—adds a refined yet unmistakable touch of brilliance. The hands are also diamond-set, and to accommodate their thickness, the watch features a specially engineered construction providing ample clearance between the dial and crystal. It also incorporates the newly introduced AP logo that appeared in the early 1980s. Powering the watch is Audemars Piguet’s in-house Cal.2080, a movement that represents a synthesis of technical precision and aesthetic intent.
