COMMENT

Ref.2413はマスト ドゥ タンクの中でも希少なGMサイズにあたるモデルで、LMサイズよりもさらに大きく、実用的な秒針と日付表示を備えています。ダイヤルはシリーズを象徴するアイボリーローマンダイヤルで、クラシックな色調にブルースチール針とブルーサファイアのカボションリューズがアクセントを添えています。ケースはヴェルメイユ（シルバー925の上に厚く金を貼る加工）仕様で、通常の金メッキを超えた重厚感と高級感を備えています。クロコダイル製のベルトは、タンク専用のオリジナルサイズで製作されたものです。

ケースは小キズこそ見られますが、オリジナルのプロポーションをよく残しています。ダイヤルはマットな質感を保ち、顕著なエイジングがなく、当時の美しさを残しています。カルティエ純正のDバックルが付属し、オリジナル性を堪能いただける点も魅力です。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

COMMENT

The Ref.2413 represents the rare GM size within the Must de Tank collection—larger than the LM size and equipped with both a practical seconds hand and a date display. Its signature ivory Roman dial embodies the essence of the series, complemented by blued steel hands and a sapphire cabochon crown. The case is crafted in vermeil (925 silver heavily plated with gold), offering a richness and weight far beyond ordinary gold-plating. The crocodile strap has been specially produced in the original Tank-specific dimensions.

The case shows only minor surface marks while retaining its original proportions. The dial preserves its matte finish with no notable aging, maintaining the elegance of its era. A genuine Cartier deployant buckle further enhances the originality of the piece. Serviced and cleaned by our watchmakers.

Among the many dial variations of the Must series, the ivory Roman dial remains the most timeless and beloved. With its larger GM size, this watch commands greater presence while preserving its classical character—a pure distillation of the Must de Tank’s charm. Today renowned as a jeweler, Cartier was in fact the first to create a true wristwatch in 1904, at a time when pocket watches still dominated.
