COMMENT

1959年製のインター。アラビアとクサビを組み合わせたフェイスは、1950年代の実用を重視した読時し易い意匠です。針はドルフィン。外周にはパールドロップのミニッツを配します。竜頭にはシーラカンスとも呼ばれる、古い年式にみられるお魚竜頭を装備しています。ケースはラグが幅広で猫足のように湾曲し、どっしりと腕にフィットします。搭載ムーブメントはCal.853。裏蓋に膨らみを持たせたケースは、自動巻き初期世代の迫力を湛えています。

ケースは傷や痩せが一切見られません。ラグのエッジが効いており、良いプロポーションを見せています。ダイヤルは経年変化により、粒状のパティナを見せています。針やインデックスは上面にくすみがあるますが、ほどよいヴィンテージテイストです。弊社にて分解掃除は済ませております。

IWCのCal.85系自動巻きムーブメントは、独自機構のペラトン式を採用しています。巻き上げの際には、ビーズを転がすような音色を鳴らします。その音量は他社製品と比べて、明らかに大きいことが特徴となっています。

The 1959 IWC. The dial combines Arabic numerals and wedge-shaped indices, reflecting the practical and easily readable design of the 1950s. The hands are of the dolphin style, with minute markers in pearl drops around the outer edge. The crown features an older fish design, often referred to as the coelacanth crown. The case has wide, cat-leg curved lugs, giving it a substantial fit on the wrist. It is equipped with the Cal. 853 movement. The case back is domed, showcasing the robust design of early automatic watch generations.

The case shows no signs of scratches or thinning. The edges of the lugs are sharp, presenting good proportions. The dial has developed a granular patina over time. The hands and indices have some tarnish on the top surface, giving it an appealing vintage look. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our company.
