グランドセイコー初の自動巻モデル、通称「62GS」です。62GSは製造期間が約一年と極端に短いモデルですが、ケースバックのメダリオンがマイナーチェンジされており、こちらはGSメダルです。ケースは流線型のシェイプが美しい意匠で、自動巻機構の搭載によりリューズ操作が少なくなったため、4時位置に配しスタイリッシュなトータルデザインとなっています。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ、文字盤外周は一段下がり手が込んでいます。バーインデックスは上面に鏡面仕上げが施されたもので、外側にはカッティングを入れて立体感を出しています。ドルフィンハンドはシンプルで、クラシカルな面持ちです。

ケースは側面に打痕が見られるものの、使用傷は少なく良好なコンディションです。さらに、経年によりケース自体の色味に変化が見られ、この時計が唯一無二の個体であることを示しています。ダイヤルはシルバーの輝きを保ち、経年変化はごくわずかです。針は鏡面のような美しい状態を維持しており、インデックスも同様に、角度によってさまざまな表情を見せてくれます。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

希少な自動巻GSの最初のモデル。61GS登場ですぐに廃番となった希少な機種です。なかでも1966年は最初期にあたります。通好みなグランドセイコーをこの良い状態で、是非ご堪能ください。

The first automatic Grand Seiko model, commonly known as the "62GS." Despite its extremely short production run of about a year, the case back medallion underwent a minor revision, and this piece features the GS medallion. The case boasts a beautifully streamlined design, reflecting the elegance of Grand Seiko’s craftsmanship. With an automatic movement reducing the need for crown operation, the crown is positioned at 4 o’clock, contributing to a stylish and cohesive design. The dial features a silver sunray finish with a recessed outer ring, showcasing meticulous detailing. The bar indexes have a polished top surface with finely cut edges, adding depth and dimension. The dauphine hands exude a simple yet classic charm.  

The case shows minor dings on the sides but remains in excellent overall condition with minimal signs of wear. Over time, the case has developed a unique patina, emphasizing its individuality. The silver dial retains its original brilliance with only minimal aging. The hands maintain a mirror-like finish, and the indexes display dynamic reflections depending on the viewing angle. The watch has been fully serviced in-house.  

As the first automatic Grand Seiko model, the 62GS is a rare piece that was quickly discontinued following the release of the 61GS. This particular example, from 1966, belongs to the earliest production period. A connoisseur’s Grand Seiko, preserved in remarkable condition—an opportunity not to be missed.
