ブラックマットダイヤルが珍しいシーマスターデビル。1963年にデビューしたデビルはワンピースケースを採用した、シーマスターからの派生モデルでした。シーマスターに比べると細くて繊細なバー状のラグは、先端で内側に向けて切り落とされ上品さをプラスしています。ケースの縁ギリギリまで文字盤面積が大きく、実際のサイズより時計が大きく見えます。インデックスやペンシルハンドの針は、細めで繊細な印象を受けます。アプライドのオメガロゴを除き、レターは全て下地出しです。デビルによく見られるメッキのような金属光沢を見せる下地ではなく、マットな下地です。当時のシーマスター300などダイバーズモデルに採用された、視認性に長けたレターです。ブレスレットは、Ref.1037、エンドリンク70です。見た目のユニークさだけでなく、快適なつけ心地が魅力です。

ケースはオリジナルのシェイプをよく残した、良好な状態です。傷が少なく、ラグの多面カットのエッジが効いています。ダイヤルはミントコンディション。色合いに変化は見られず、発売当初のままを残しています。針やインデックスはルーペで覗くと僅かにエイジングが確認できます。肉眼だと気にならないもので、鏡面が光をきらりと反射します。半球状のルミナスは、形に崩れがなくベージュカラーが美しいです。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

＜DE VILLE＞はフランス語で「街角」を意味します。その名に相応しく、都会的でタウンユースのしやすい小洒落た雰囲気を持っています。コンステレーションとは違った、薄型だがドレスウォッチになり過ぎない、分別をわきまえた感じの良さが魅力的な1本です。ドレッシーなモデルですが、スポーツモデルに見られる製法のダイアルを採用しており、機能面にも優れた一品です。

COMMENT

The black matte dial of this Seamaster DeVille is a rarity. Introduced in 1963, the DeVille was derived from the Seamaster line, adopting a one-piece case. Compared to the Seamaster, its slender and delicate bar-shaped lugs, cut inward at the tips, add elegance. The dial area extends almost to the edge of the case, making the watch appear larger than its actual size. The indices and pencil hands give off a delicate impression due to their slimness. Except for the applied Omega logo, all lettering is understated. Unlike the metallic sheen seen on some DeVille models, this dial has a matte finish. It features the highly visible lettering found on diver models like the Seamaster 300 from that era. The bracelet is a rare cylindrical link Ref.1037 with end links 70, offering both visual uniqueness and comfortable wear.

The case is in excellent condition, retaining its original shape well with minimal scratches and sharp edges on the multi-faceted lug cuts. The dial is in mint condition, retaining its original color without any changes since its release. While there's slight aging visible on the hands and indices under a loupe, it's imperceptible to the naked eye, with the mirror-like surface reflecting light brilliantly. The dome-shaped luminous material remains intact without any deterioration, boasting a beautiful beige color. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our team.

De Ville translates to "town" in French. True to its name, it exudes an urban and sophisticated charm, perfect for town use. Unlike the Constellation, it maintains a slim profile without being overly dressy, offering a refined elegance. Despite its dressy appearance, it adopts dial construction methods seen in sports models, making it a functional and stylish piece.
