時計デザイナーとして有名なジェラルド・ジェンタが手掛けた「Cラインケース」が特徴的なコンステレーションです。ケースとラグを一体にデザインし、ブレスレットまで統一感をもたせてデザインしています。こちらはその後継機で、アクリル風防からガラスに、また搭載ムーブメントは次世代機のCal.1011に変更されています。

スポーティーになりがちなCラインケースながら、シンプルなダイアルを合わせてドレス感を失わない秀逸な意匠です。ペンシルハンドにバーインデックスの組み合わせは当時のドレスモデルのコンビネーションです。ダイヤルはメタリックなグレーでシルバーとの差異化が図られた、当時としては斬新なデザインだったことでしょう。オメガ純正のブレスレットを装備しています。ブレスレット単体での入手は難しいため、本体購入時に付属しているかどうかは大きなポイントです。

ケースは傷が少なく、元のエッジをよく残した良プロポーションです。ケースサイドにある鏡面の小さな面は均一に残っています。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。針やレターのブラックプリントは発色良く残っており、当時の質感をそのままに残しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

文字盤記載の“CHRONOMETER クロノメーター”とは、国際標準化機構が規定したＩＳＯ３１５９の基準に沿って、公的機関が姿勢や温度の差による厳しい精度試験を行い、クリアしたムーブメントにのみ与えられる“高精度”であることの認証です。

コンステレーションは1952年に発表されて以降、現在もオメガの主力モデルのひとつ。技術的に優れたドレスウォッチがどうあるべきかに対するオメガの答えを示したモデルです。Constellationとは星座を意味し、高級感と高精度を追求し続けたフラグシップモデル。OMEGAが創業以来積み重ねてきた技術を集結したという精度の高さが魅力のひとつ。シンプルながらエレガントで気品あるデザインも高く評価されています。

The Constellation, featuring the distinctive "C-Line Case" crafted by the renowned watch designer Gerald Genta, is a noteworthy timepiece. The case and lugs are seamlessly integrated in its design, creating a unified look that extends to the bracelet. This model, a successor to the original, has transitioned from an acrylic crystal to glass, and the movement has been upgraded to the next-generation Cal.1011.

Despite the inherent sportiness of the C-Line Case, the clever design maintains a sense of dressiness by pairing it with a simple dial. The combination of pencil hands and bar indices reflects the classic combination seen in dress models of that era. The metallic gray dial, differentiating itself from the silver, was a groundbreaking design at the time. Equipped with an authentic Omega bracelet, obtaining it separately is a challenging feat, making its inclusion with the watch a significant point to consider.

The case is in excellent condition with minimal scratches, preserving the original edges and proportions well. The small polished surfaces on the case sides remain uniformly retained. The dial is in mint condition, with the black prints of the hands and letters vividly intact, maintaining the texture of that era. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our company.

The inscription "CHRONOMETER" on the dial signifies certification according to the ISO 3159 standards set by the International Organization for Standardization. This certification is awarded only to movements that have undergone rigorous precision testing by public institutions, ensuring accuracy despite variations in posture and temperature.
