ダイヤルは艶やかなブラックミラーで仕上げられ、インデックスからミニッツトラックに至るまで、すべてがゴールドギルトによって統一されています。インデックスは珍しいオールアラビア仕様。フォントはこの時代特有の背が低く横幅の広いスタイルで、戦前のオメガらしい独自性が際立ちます。針はすべてが細身で構成され、とくに長針と秒針がミニッツレールにしっかりと届いており、計器のような緊張感ある顔つきです。ケースは当時のオメガを象徴する意匠で、他ブランドからの引用に頼らない、純然たるオメガオリジナルの設計思想が反映されています。14Kイエローゴールド製で、ホールマークはミドルケース背面の裏蓋によって隠れるところと、ラグの横に刻印されています。

コンディションは極めて良好です。ケースは保管時に生じた微細な傷がわずかに見られる程度で、ラグのエッジやサイドのホールマークも明瞭に残されています。ダイヤルはブラックミラー特有のグロス感を完璧に維持しており、ギルトレターとのコントラストが鮮烈です。針は当時のメッキがそのまま残されており、全体としてパーフェクトな状態です。風防はオリジナルが付属していますが、日常使用に向くよう弊社でサンプリングした新たな風防に交換済みです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

搭載ムーブメントは、オメガを国際的な地位へと押し上げた「30mmキャリバー」系統の起点となるCal.30SCT1。1939年に登場したCal.30の後継として、1940年に発表された初のセンターセコンド仕様であり、以降の機械式時計設計に大きな影響を与えました。この直径30mmというサイズ、そして大振りなテンプという構成は、後年数多くのメーカーが模倣し、戦後の精度競争を方向づける技術的礎となりました。その歴史的意義に加え、ブラックミラーダイヤルがこれほどまで良好な状態で残る個体は極めて稀少であり、ヴィンテージ・オメガを語るうえで欠かせない一本です。

The dial is finished in a lustrous black mirror, with every element—from the applied numerals to the minute track—rendered in unified gold gilt. A rare all-Arabic numeral layout graces the dial, with a wide, low-set font typical of the pre-war era, lending the piece a distinctively early Omega character. All hands are slender and precisely proportioned, with the minute and seconds hands extending cleanly to the minute track—imbuing the watch with a taut, instrument-like presence. The case embodies the quintessential design language of Omega in that period, showcasing an entirely original aesthetic not reliant on influences from other brands. Crafted in 14K yellow gold, hallmarks are found both on the side of the lugs and hidden beneath the caseback lip on the mid-case.

The overall condition is exceptional. The case shows only minimal signs of storage-related wear, with sharp lug edges and crisp hallmarks fully intact. The dial retains the deep gloss characteristic of black mirror finishes, creating striking contrast with the gilt lettering. The hands remain in their original plating and exhibit no notable aging—resulting in a nearly flawless presentation. While the original crystal is preserved and included, it has been replaced with a newly fabricated example for practical daily use. Disassembly and cleaning have been completed by our workshop.

Powering the watch is the Cal. 30SCT1—the center seconds successor to Omega's landmark Cal. 30, released in 1939. Unveiled in 1940, it was Omega's first center-seconds execution within the 30mm family, a movement line that would come to define post-war mechanical precision. With its large balance and 30mm diameter, the movement not only set a standard for others to follow but also helped elevate Omega to global recognition. Combined with the rarity of such a well-preserved black mirror dial, this piece stands as a cornerstone reference in the narrative of vintage Omega.
