COMMENT

オメガ1960年代末に出現した独特なモデルライン、ジュネーブアドミラルティ。数種類のデザインバリエーションで展開されました。これは1940年代のミリタリースタイルを彷彿とさせる操作のしやすい大型の竜頭に、1960年代アレンジの竜頭ガードを採用しています。ケースはスーパーコンプレッサーなど防水性に優れたケースを開発していたEPSA（Ervin Piquerez SA）製。裏蓋の内側にはダイビングベルをデフォルメした刻印が見られます。ダイヤルはダークブラウン。ダイヤルバリエーションがあるモデルですが、オールアラビアで1940年代のイギリス軍をサンプリングしたこのダイヤルは、生産数が少なく珍しいです。ムーブメントは、名機550系をベースに設計されたCal.601を搭載しています。

ケースは傷が少なく、元のエッジをよく残した良プロポーションです。オリジナルのヘアライン仕上げを堪能できます。ダイヤルは望みうる中で最高コンディションで、プリントやルミナスのエイジングも一切見られません。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ46時間を確認しています。

イタリア語で「イカリ」という、ペットネームが付いています。当時は本格的なダイバーズウォッチなどのスポーツウォッチは既に存在していましたが、このモデルのようにライトなスポーツモデルは珍しく、OMEGAらしいアプローチが魅力です。色使いの豊かさも、上品ながらインパクトがありブランドの独自性を感じ取ることができます。このミリタリーブラウンダイヤルはブラウンの色味に一品一品の個性を見せる、興味深いモデルです。ご覧の美しい色味を見せています。

COMMENT

The Omega Geneve Admiralty, a distinctive model line that emerged in the late 1960s, offered several design variations. This particular model features a large crown reminiscent of military styles from the 1940s, with a 1960s adaptation of crown guards for ease of operation. The case, developed by EPSA (Ervin Piquerez SA), known for creating waterproof cases like the Super Compressor, showcases a unique engraving on the inside of the case back, resembling a deformed diving bell. The dark brown dial, inspired by the 1940s British military, is less common among the various dial variations, making this model rare. It houses the Cal.601 movement, based on the renowned 550 series.

The case is in excellent condition with minimal scratches, retaining its original edges and proportions. The original hairline finish can be appreciated. The dial is in the best possible condition, showing no signs of aging on prints or luminescence. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our experts, confirming a power reserve of 46 hours.

Affectionately nicknamed "Ikari" in Italian, meaning "Anchor," this model represents Omega's unique approach, offering a lighter sports model during a time when more robust diver's watches already existed.
