堂々たる雰囲気を放つRef.1601。グロッシーなブラックミラーダイヤルは、ギルトレターがメッキのように美しい反射を見せています。4桁世代のデイトジャストの特徴として、ダイヤル外周が面取りされた意匠が際立ちます。台形型インデックスと2面ファセットのバー針を採用し、クラシカルなデザインを楽しめます。1601のフルーテッドベゼルはドレッシーな雰囲気で、ミラーの艶感と相まってゴージャスです。ブレスレットはフォールデッドのRef.6251で、クラスプデイト69/1、エンドリンク55を装備しています。

The Ref. 1601 exudes a majestic aura. Its glossy black mirror dial features gilt lettering that reflects beautifully, akin to plating. A notable characteristic of the four-digit Datejust models is the chamfered design around the dial’s periphery. With trapezoidal indices and two-faceted bar hands, it offers a classic design. The fluted bezel of the 1601 adds a dressy touch, and together with the mirror’s sheen, it appears quite luxurious. The bracelet is the folded Ref. 6251, equipped with a clasp dated 69/1 and end links marked 55.

The movement housed within is the Cal. 1570. This chronometer-rated movement was produced from the mid-1960s to the late 1980s, and it is highly regarded as one of Rolex’s masterpieces for its balance of precision and durability.

A noteworthy feature is the dial's ageing process. Over time, a beautiful brown patina has developed, earning it the esteemed title of a tropical dial. While the texture has become somewhat grainy, the mirror’s glossiness remains intact. The indices and applied crown logo are free from tarnish, maintaining their polished finish. The hands show mild ageing, but it is barely noticeable to the naked eye. The case proportions are well-maintained; although it has seen minor polishing, the lugs remain robust, preserving the original size of the Datejust. It has been fully serviced by our company.
