バーインデックスは2面の山形で鏡面仕上げですが、3, 6, 9時は3面の台形型でセンターにヘアラインを施し、光り方を変えています。細めのペンシルハンドはフォーマルな佇まいです。ケースは伝統のオイスターケース。ムーブメントは製造年数の長い6694の中で最も安定感のあるCal.1225を搭載しています。1570と同様の世代の完成されたムーブメントは、安定感が折り紙付きです。オイスターブレスレットはフォールデッドのRef.7835、エンドリンク357、クラスプデイト72/2です。

ケース状態は傷が最小の素晴らしい状態です。側面、ベゼルの印象的な鏡面のファセットに打痕などの傷が無く、クリアなコンディション。針は傷が見られない素晴らしい状態。インデックスはくすみが最小で、光を受けて美しく輝きます。針とインデックスに塗布された夜光は全体的にベージュに変わっております。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

オイスターデイトは手巻きのため薄く、ロレックスの入門編として日常使いにもお勧めできるモデルです。当時から多彩なカラーバリエーションが見られ、ブラックやブルーも、他のモデルに比べて手が出しやすい価格層に抑えられています。安定した手巻きのムーブメントは精度が良く、日付の早送りがついていないため、針を進めて変更するのが少々手間ですが、アンティークらしい愛嬌のある手巻き時計としてロレックスを楽しめます。

The bar indices are faceted in a two-sided mirror finish, while the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock markers are in a distinctive three-sided trapezoidal shape with a central hairline texture that alters how they catch the light. The slender pencil hands lend a formal and composed aesthetic. The case features Rolex’s traditional Oyster construction. Inside is the Caliber 1225, the most reliable among the long-running 6694 series. This well-developed movement, from the same era as the 1570, is renowned for its stability. The folded-link Oyster bracelet is Ref.7835 with end links 357 and clasp code 72/2.

The case is in exceptional condition with minimal signs of wear. The mirrored facets on the case sides and bezel are free from nicks or dents, maintaining a pristine appearance. The hands show no visible scratches and are beautifully preserved. The indices exhibit minimal patina and shimmer brilliantly when catching the light. The luminous material on both hands and indices has aged to a uniform beige tone. Fully disassembled and serviced by our workshop.

The silver-tone dial of this Ref. 6694 features bold horizontal brushing that evokes the texture of wave-like grain across a metal plate. The design gives the impression that the indices and Rolex logo have been printed directly onto the raw surface. It has a rugged, tactile character—distinct from the refined elegance of traditional sunray champagne finishes.As there is no quickset function for the date, adjustment requires advancing the hands—a deliberate process that adds to its vintage charm. Although it lacks a quickset date function, adjusting the date by rotating the hands is part of the charm that defines the vintage appeal of this model.
