TAVANNES Bulls eye Black Gilt Dial

40〜50年代のブルズアイダイヤルのタバンをご紹介します。一線を画した強烈な個性を放つダイヤルには驚かされるばかり。内側はこってりとした艶やかな黒、対して外周はなんといいますか、ゴースティーとでも評すべき不思議なグレーのような色。ケースはスクリューバックがトレタケで、年式を考えるとケース全体のコンディションは十分良好。ムーブメントはいわゆるバナナムーブのCYMA010K。ダイヤル上の文字はスウェーデン語で書かれていますので、同年代に多く輸出された他メーカーの物と同様に興味を惹かれます。幻想的なダイヤルが一度見たら忘れられなくなりそうな、クセになる1本です。

BRAND

CYMA（シーマ）の設立当初のブランド名TAVANNES（タバン）。1862年に時計職人であるジョセフ・シュワオブによって、スイスのジュラ山の渓谷の町ル・ロックルで誕生。時計の聖地であるスイスにおいて最初に自社工場のオートメーション化を導入した。 常に先進的な技術を取り入れて成長しただけでなく、デザインでも数多くの賞を受賞し、名実共に世界的に認められるブランド。軍用時計をイギリス軍に納入するなど、確かな実績を重ね、知る人ぞ知る実力派ブランドの一つ。

Here's a Bulls-eye dial Taban from the 1940s to 1950s. The dial's striking personality is truly captivating. The inner portion boasts a rich, glossy black, while the outer ring exhibits a mysterious gray, almost ghostly in appearance. The case features a screw-back design, typical for the era, and considering its age, the overall condition of the case is quite commendable. The movement is the so-called "banana" movement, the CYMA 010K. The text on the dial is written in Swedish, adding to its intrigue, much like other watches exported during the same period.
