COMMENT

1990年代に製作された、竹を思わせる造形を随所に取り入れた幾何学的なドレスウォッチです。ベゼルからブレスレットまで連続した意匠には、ジュエリー的表現と時計技術を融合させたオーデマ ピゲの創造性が表れています。ケースは18金無垢で構成され、ダイヤルにはロイヤルオークを想起させる八角形の輪郭が彫り込まれています。ブラックダイヤルを備えたバンブーモデルは極めて希少で、インデックスにはダイヤモンドが配され、高級感を添えています。バックルは同モデルでは珍しいDバックル仕様です。

ケースは全体に傷が少なく、サンドブラストとミラー仕上げのコントラストは、オリジナルの仕上げをしっかりと維持しています。ホールマークの摩耗が見られず、刻印は鮮明です。ブラックダイヤルはミントコンディションを保っており、インデックスと針の状態も非常に良好です。ブレスレットは使用感がほとんどなく、繊細な構造は、しなやかさを維持しています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

曲線と直線を複雑に組み合わせた造形、さらには八角形の構成要素など、オーデマ ピゲならではの造形哲学が凝縮された一本です。竹の節のような立体的な連なりは他のメーカーでは見られない独特の存在感を持ち、ヴィザールな美しさと確かな品質が融合した、まさにAPでしか成し得ない表現といえるでしょう。

COMMENT

Produced in the 1990s, this geometric dress watch incorporates bamboo-inspired forms throughout its design. The seamless transition from bezel to bracelet showcases Audemars Piguet’s creative fusion of horological precision and jewelry artistry. Crafted entirely in solid 18k gold, the case features an engraved octagonal outline on the dial—reminiscent of the Royal Oak’s signature design. Bamboo models with black dials are extremely rare, and the diamond-set indices further enhance the watch’s luxurious appeal. Notably, this piece features a deployant clasp, an uncommon specification for this model.

The case shows minimal signs of wear and retains its original contrast between sandblasted and mirror-polished finishes. Hallmarks remain crisp with no signs of erosion. The black dial is in mint condition, with the indices and hands also exceptionally well preserved. The bracelet exhibits little to no stretch, maintaining its supple articulation despite its delicate construction. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.

While it is a dress watch, the interplay of curves and angles—as well as the incorporation of octagonal motifs—expresses Audemars Piguet’s unique design philosophy. The sculptural links, reminiscent of bamboo segments, create a striking presence unmatched by other makers. This is a piece where bizarre beauty and refined craftsmanship come together in a form that only AP could have realized.
