HEUER AUTAVIA Ref.73663は、クッションケースに回転ベゼルを組み合わせた、手巻き3レジスタークロノグラフです。ホワイトダイヤルにブラックのインダイヤルを合わせたパンダ配色に、クロノグラフ秒針と外周のアクセントでブルーを差し、スポーティさの中に軽快さを残しています。ブラックのタキメーターベゼルが全体を引き締め、ケースサイズの存在感と視認性を両立。ムーブメントはValjoux 7736を搭載しています。

コンディションは、ケースはエッジにキレが残り、面の切り替えが自然に見て取れます。ベゼルはプリントの読み取りが保たれ、外周にわずかな擦れが見られる程度で、印象を損ねません。ダイヤルは清潔感があり、白地と黒目のコントラストが明瞭です。厳正に判断しますと、ダイヤルや積算計針には細かなサビが見て取れますが、実物はほとんど気になりません。ブループリントは劣化が見られず、針とインデックスの金属面は落ち着いた艶を保っています。夜光は色味のまとまりが良く、全体の表情に自然な奥行きを与えています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

AUTAVIAはHEUERのCARRERAと比べると方向性が明確で、CARRERAがドレッシーなクロノグラフであるのに対し、回転ベゼルを備えたAUTAVIAはより計器的で無骨な印象です。70年代に入ると大振りなCクッションケースや厚みのある造形が登場し、そのキャラクターはいっそう強まりました。中でも白×黒のパンダにブルーを効かせた“Siffert colors”は同世代でも印象がはっきりと残る配色で、黒いタキメーターベゼルがケースの量感を引き締め、クロノグラフとしての輪郭を際立たせます。パンダらしいコントラストが加わることで、道具感の強さ一辺倒にならず、どこか都会的で洗練されたムードも感じさせます。

COMMENT

The HEUER AUTAVIA Ref. 73663 is a hand-wound, three-register chronograph that combines a cushion-shaped case with a rotating bezel. The white dial paired with black subdials creates a classic panda configuration, while blue accents on the chronograph seconds hand and along the outer scale add a light, sporty touch. A black tachymeter bezel sharpens the overall look, balancing strong presence with excellent legibility. The watch is powered by the Valjoux 7736 movement.

Condition is well preserved throughout. The case retains crisp edges, with natural transitions between surfaces clearly visible. The bezel printing remains legible, showing only minor wear along the outer edge that does not detract from the overall impression. The dial presents a clean appearance, with strong contrast between the white ground and black registers. Upon close inspection, minor oxidation can be observed on the dial and the sub-register hands, though this is scarcely noticeable in hand. The blue accents have aged gently, while the metal surfaces of the hands and indexes maintain a subdued, attractive sheen. The luminous material shows consistent coloration, adding a natural sense of depth to the overall appearance. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Compared to HEUER’s CARRERA, the AUTAVIA has a more clearly defined character. While the CARRERA leans toward a dressier chronograph aesthetic, the AUTAVIA—with its rotating bezel—projects a more instrumental, utilitarian presence. Entering the 1970s, larger C-shaped cushion cases and bolder proportions further reinforced this identity. Among these, the white-and-black panda dial accented with blue—often referred to as the “Siffert colors”—stands out as particularly memorable. The black tachymeter bezel tightens the visual mass of the case and emphasizes the chronograph’s functional outline. The strong panda contrast tempers the rugged tool-watch character, lending the piece a subtle urban refinement alongside its purposeful design.
