1960年代後半のスタイルを反映させた、Cラインケースが特徴的な“Seamaster 120”。このモデルは、ミッドサイズも存在しますが、こちらは37mmケースのフルサイズです。クリックなしのスムースな動きを見せる両方向回転ベゼルを備え、ダイバーモデルとしては珍しくすっきりとしたフォルムと適度なサイズ感が魅力です。ブラックマットダイヤルはシリーズ初期のもので、ギルトのレターが印象的です。この仕様はシーマスター300などで見られた印字製法であり、シリーズの中でも特別な存在です。ブレスレットはRef.1098、エンドリンク540が付属しています。

ケースは非常に良好な状態で、元のエッジをよく残したプロポーションです。オリジナルのCラインフォルムを堪能できるデザインです。ベゼルも多くの個体がフェード化している中、黒色をしっかりと保った瑞々しいコンディションです。ダイヤルは非常に良好なコンディションで、インデックスのルミナスがブラックマットダイヤルと格別にマッチしています。ルーペで確認すると、6時方向にわずかな経年変化が確認できますが、肉眼ではほとんど気になりません。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ49時間を確認しています。

1966年製はこのモデルにおいて最初期で、謎の8桁リファレンス、ギルトダイヤルの特徴があり、非常に稀少です。ダイバーモデルながら幅の小さいベゼルなど、他のモデルとは一線を画するすっきりとした印象です。そのため使い勝手が抜群で、スーツにはもちろん、カジュアルにも合わせやすい人気モデルです。

COMMENT

The "Seamaster 120," characterised by its C-line case, reflects late 1960s style. While this model also comes in a midsize, this particular piece boasts a full-size 37mm case. It features a bi-directional bezel with smooth, click-free movement, which is rare for a diver’s model, lending it a sleek form and moderate size. The black matte dial is from the early series, distinguished by its gilt lettering. This printing method, also seen on the Seamaster 300, makes this model particularly special within the series. It comes with a Ref. 1098 bracelet and end links 540.

The case is in excellent condition, retaining the original edges and proportions. The design allows one to fully appreciate the original C-line form. The bezel, which often fades in many examples, remains a rich black, in pristine condition. The dial is exceptionally well-preserved, with the luminous indices perfectly complementing the black matte background. Our company has fully serviced the watch, confirming a power reserve of 49 hours.

This model, dating from 1966, is among the earliest of its kind, featuring a rare eight-digit reference and gilt dial, making it highly collectible. Despite being a diver’s model, it stands out with a narrower bezel, presenting a clean, distinct appearance.
