華奢なストレートラグがラウンドケースを際立たせるオールドインター。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ仕上げにローマ数字インデックスが配置されており、希少かつ人気のデザインです。ノーデイトダイヤルがシンメトリーなフェイスを実現しています。スナップケースながら防水性能を備えており、貴重なお魚リューズが付属しています。

自社製Cal.854はペラトン方式の自動巻きを備えたムーブメントです。爪により両回転での自動巻きを実現しており、その性能の高さから、現代でも復元され使用されている機構です。IWCが当時自社で開発した最終キャリバーであり、完成された美しさがあります。

ダイヤルは焼けが見られず、気になるようなダメージもなく、美しいコンディションを保っています。針も非常に良い状態です。ラグやフラットベゼルのエッジがしっかりと立っており、ラグの角にある小さな面取りも綺麗に残っています。当店にて整備後、47時間以上のパワーリザーブを確認しています。

アメリカマサチューセッツ州ボストン出身の時計師、フロレンタイン・アリオスト・ジョーンズが1868年に創立したのが始まり。特徴的なデザインで今なお世界中で人気を誇る「パイロット・ウォッチ」コレクションなど、多くの人気シリーズを発売。磁気から時計を守る為の軟鉄製インナーケースや、IWC独自の"ぺラトン式"と呼ばれる両回転式自動巻機構はあまりに有名。

COMMENT

The slender straight lugs accentuate the round case of this vintage IWC. The dial features a silver sunburst finish with Roman numeral indices, making it a rare and popular design. The no-date dial ensures a symmetrical face. Despite being a snap-back case, it boasts water resistance and comes with the rare fish crown.

The in-house Cal.854 movement employs the Pellaton winding system, achieving bi-directional automatic winding via a pawl. This highly efficient mechanism remains in use today due to its superior performance. It was the final calibre developed in-house by IWC during that period, and it exhibits a refined beauty.

The dial shows no signs of discolouration or damage, maintaining excellent condition. The hands are also in superb condition. The edges of the lugs and the flat bezel are well-defined, with the small bevels on the corners of the lugs beautifully preserved. After servicing at our store, it has been confirmed to have a power reserve of over 47 hours.
