カルティエ「マスト タンク」シリーズの中でもひときわ希少なトリコロールダイヤルを備えたLMサイズの手巻きモデルです。ゴールド・ブルー・レッドの三色を鏡面仕上げのストライプで表現し、光の角度によって艶やかに輝きを変えるダイヤルは、通常のローマンダイヤルとは異なる華やかな存在感を放ちます。縦約30mmのLMサイズは、ヴィンテージの定番サイズとして男女を問わず楽しめるプロポーションです。ケースはシルバー925に厚いゴールドプレートを施したヴェルメイユ仕様で、豊かな金色の輝きがダイヤルのストライプカラーを引き立てています。針はブルースチール製で深みのある色味を保ち、リューズにはブルーサファイアカボションをセット。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

Among the many variations of the Cartier “Must de Tank,” this LM-size hand-wound model stands out for its rare tricolour dial. Gold, blue, and red are expressed in mirrored stripes, creating a dial that shifts in lustre depending on the angle of the light—a striking presence compared to the classic Roman numeral layout. With a vertical length of approximately 30 mm, the LM case offers balanced proportions, making it a vintage standard suitable for both men and women. The case is crafted in vermeil—sterling silver with a thick layer of gold plating—whose warm golden glow accentuates the tricolour stripes. Blued steel hands retain their depth of tone, while the crown is set with a blue sapphire cabochon.

The case remains in excellent condition, showing only minimal wear with no heavy marks on vulnerable areas such as the lugs or caseback. The dial retains its vivid colours, and the mirrored stripe finish continues to display a rich sheen without signs of deterioration. Today Cartier is renowned worldwide as a jeweller, but as early as 1904—when pocket watches were still the norm—it became the first jeweller to produce a true wristwatch.
