COMMENT

ダイヤルはツートン構成で、中央は穏やかなホワイト、インデックス部はブラックのサークルラインで縁取られています。外周のミニッツスケールはホワイトで、視認性を意識したレイアウトです。針は中央に夜光を配したドーフィンハンド。楔形インデックスを基調に、偶数のみアラビア数字を配した1950年代らしい意匠が際立ちます。外周に5分ごとに半球状の夜光が置かれ、立体的で温かみのあるアクセントを加えています。ケースは長いラグが伸びた薄型の造形で、通常よりサイズの大きなケースを使用しています。装着されているレザーベルトは1950年代当時のオリジナルです。

本個体はNEW OLD STOCK（未使用品）で、当時の製造技術や質感をそのまま今に伝える稀少な存在です。ケースは磨きの必要がないほど美しく、打痕や傷は一切確認されません。唯一、ケースバックに手彫りの文字が確認できます。ダイヤルはわずかにトーンの変化が見られますが、自然な経年として受け止められる範囲です。針は傷が最小限に抑えられ、艶やかな状態を維持。インデックスは鏡面の輝きがしっかりと残っています。夜光は均一なベージュカラーを保ち、時代を重ねた温かみを感じさせながらも、乱れのない良い状態です。

NOSならではの保存状態の良さが際立ち、ケース・ダイヤルともに当時の空気感を濃密に宿した一本です。裏蓋には耐衝撃性・防水性・耐磁性を示す刻印が入り、当時のゼニスが誇った設計思想をそのまま体現しています。資料価値と実用性を兼ね備えた、ヴィンテージ愛好家に強く訴えかける一本です。

機械式時計の名機エル・プリメロで知られるスイスのブランド。1865年スイスのル・ロックルにて創業、＜天頂＞をブランド名称の由来とし、ムーブメントの開発および製造を自社で一貫して行っているマニュファクチュールブランド。その技術力の高さは、博覧会などで獲得した2000を超える賞の数々が物語っています。

COMMENT

The dial features a two-tone layout, with a softly toned white center bordered by a black circular ring marking the index area. The outer minute track is rendered in white, arranged with clear readability in mind. The hands are dauphine with luminous material applied down the center. The combination of wedge-shaped indexes and even-numbered Arabic numerals highlights a distinctly 1950s aesthetic. Along the perimeter, domed luminous plots placed at five-minute intervals add a warm and dimensional accent. The case is slim with extended lugs, constructed in a larger-than-usual size for this style. The leather strap fitted to the watch is the original from the 1950s.

This example is NEW OLD STOCK, an unused piece that preserves the manufacturing quality and tactile character of its era. The case is exceptionally well preserved, showing no dents, scratches, or signs of polishing. While the dial exhibits the slightest change in tone, it remains well within the realm of natural ageing. The hands show minimal marks and retain a lustrous surface, while the indexes maintain their mirror-like brilliance. The luminous material has aged into a uniform beige tone that conveys vintage warmth yet remains clean and intact. 

The outstanding preservation unique to NOS pieces is unmistakable here, with both the case and dial retaining the atmosphere of the period with striking fidelity. The case back bears stamped indications for shock resistance, water resistance, and anti-magnetism, faithfully reflecting Zenith’s engineering philosophy of the time. With a balance of archival value and practical usability, this is a watch that holds strong appeal for true vintage enthusiasts.

BRAND

Zenith is a Swiss manufacture best known for the legendary El Primero. Founded in 1865 in Le Locle, the brand’s name derives from the idea of the “zenith,” representing the highest point. Zenith develops and manufactures its movements entirely in-house, and its technical excellence is demonstrated by the more than 2,000 awards it has earned at international exhibitions and competitions.
