COMMENT

洗練された印象を受ける樽型のCラインケースは、ジェラルド・ジェンタがデザインを手がけ、1970年前後に多く見られたスタイルです。後期型のガラス型風防と比べ、本作は前期型にあたるドーム型風防を備えており、ヴィンテージならではの質感が堪能できます。細やかな刻みが施されたホワイトゴールド製のフルーテッドベゼルはラグジュアリーな輝きを放ち、オメガのハイエンドモデルらしい佇まいを演出しています。ダイヤルは「リネン」と呼ばれる繊細なテクスチャーで、ほどよい艶感が上品な印象を与え、ホワイトゴールドとの相性が秀逸です。バーインデックスのセンターとペンシルハンドにブラック塗装が施され、デザイン性と視認性を両立しています。

ケース上面にわずかに使用感が見られますが、シルエットは崩れず良好に維持されています。ケース側面のヘアラインは明瞭で、ラグ周りに目立つ傷が少ない点は好印象です。ダイヤルは黒い斑点が一部に確認できますが、全体の印象を損なうものではありません。針は傷やくすみが見られず、鏡面のコンディションを保っています。インデックスのブラックプリントは剥がれなく残り、夜光塗料は自然にベージュトーンへと移ろい、ヴィンテージらしい趣を添えています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

The refined barrel-shaped C-line case, designed by Gérald Genta, is a signature style widely seen around the early 1970s. Unlike the later flat “glass” crystal, this example features the earlier domed crystal, offering a distinctly vintage texture and warmth. The finely fluted white-gold bezel radiates a luxurious brilliance, giving the watch the dignified presence expected of Omega’s high-end models. The dial features the delicate “Florentine” texture, a finely engraved surface with a soft sheen that creates an elegant harmony with the white-gold bezel. Black-painted centers on the bar indexes and pencil hands enhance both visual balance and legibility.

There is slight evidence of wear on the upper surface of the case, but the overall silhouette remains well preserved and well proportioned. The hairline finishing on the case sides is clearly defined, and the area around the lugs shows minimal noticeable damage. A few small dark spots can be seen on the dial, though they do not detract from the overall appearance. The hands remain in excellent condition with no visible scratches or dulling, retaining their mirror finish. The black printing on the indexes is fully intact, and the luminous material has naturally aged into a warm beige tone, adding authentic vintage character. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Both the dial and case are in outstanding condition, retaining a remarkable sense of freshness even after more than 50 years. Examples that preserve such a high level of originality are increasingly rare, and this piece offers an exceptionally well-balanced expression of the Constellation’s enduring appeal.
