4402-8000は、1961年に始まったキングセイコーの第二世代のモデルです。放射状に広がる文字盤のヘアライン仕上げは、クラシックモデルとして洗練されております。インデックスは切子面が多く表面処理が施されているため、光を当てるとどの角度からでも輝きます。ハック機能が付いており、日付の早送りと戻しの両合わせができるため、非常に使い勝手の良い機械です。こちらは初期型モデルのため、ダイヤルに亀戸マークが入らず、メダリオンはKING SEIKOの刻印です。

ケースの状態は、プロポーションが良く小傷すらあまり見られません。ケースバックの中央の金のメダリオンや、リューズの「SEIKO WATCH」を表すSWが綺麗に残っております。

1968年のスイスのヌーシャテルで行われた精度観測試験で、セイコーは他のメーカーを上回る最も正確な機械を備えていると判断されました。すっきりとしたシンプルで素晴らしいドレスウォッチで、パリッとしたジャケットによく似合いそうです。普段のワードローブに合わせるアクセントとして、半世紀前のお時計をご提案いたします。

The 4402-8000 is the second generation model of King Seiko, which debuted in 1961. Its radial sunburst dial finish exudes sophistication, establishing it as a classic model. The indices, with their faceted surfaces and applied finishes, gleam from any angle when hit by light. Equipped with a hacking function, this timepiece allows for both quick setting and resetting of the date, making it incredibly user-friendly. As this is an early model, it lacks the Kew-A certificate mark on the dial, and the medallion bears the inscription "KING SEIKO."

The case is in excellent condition, with well-proportioned dimensions and minimal signs of wear. The gold medallion at the center of the case back and the "SEIKO WATCH" inscription on the crown remain beautifully preserved.

In the precision observatory trials held in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, in 1968, Seiko was judged to have the most accurate movement, surpassing other manufacturers.
