ダイヤルはブラック。針はバーハンドで、中央に夜光が塗布されています。インデックスは夜光塗料で大きめに作られています。回転ベゼルは10分ごとに数字が刻まれており、60分の位置にポイントが配置されています。ケースは左右非対称のフォルムが特徴で、竜頭をガードするために4時位置が膨らんだ独特のデザインになっています。竜頭は簡易ロック機能が搭載しております。

ケースはごく軽微な使用傷が見られるものの、フォルムは良好に維持されており、全体の印象を損なうものではありません。ベゼルはクリック感がしっかりと残っており、ミドルケース裏側はヘアラインが残っています。ダイヤルはエイジングの痕跡がない状態を維持しております。針はくすみが最小限で、当時の状態を保っています。針とインデックスに塗布された夜光はホワイトの状態を保っております。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントには、6105Aにハック機能を追加した6105Bキャリバーを搭載。ダイバーズウォッチであり、水気には強い設計ですが、竜頭が当時のオリジナルのため、防水性はないとお考えいただいた上でご使用ください。

1960年代は、機械式腕時計は完成期とも言えるほどの発展を遂げた時期で、セイコーは精度コンクールの分野でも量産の分野でも、世界に追いつき、追いぬいた時代であった。同時に、「時計の電子化」が進展し、1969（昭和44）年12月にセイコーが世界初のクオーツ（水晶）腕時計を発売することにより、機械式腕時計からクオーツ腕時計へと大きく舵を切ろうとする時期でもあった。

COMMENT

The dial is finished in black and features bar-shaped hands with luminous material applied to the center. The hour markers are generously sized and also filled with luminous paint for enhanced visibility. The rotating bezel is marked at 10-minute intervals and features a prominent indicator at the 60-minute position. The asymmetrical case design is one of the model’s defining features, with an extended right side to guard the crown, which is located at the 4 o’clock position and includes a simple locking mechanism.

The case shows only minimal signs of wear, with its original shape and profile well preserved and the overall aesthetic uncompromised. The bezel retains a firm click, and the case back still displays its original brushed finish. The dial remains free of aging or damage, and the hands retain their original luster with only minimal tarnishing. Both the hands and indexes preserve their luminous material in clean white condition. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our watchmaker.

The watch is powered by the 6105B caliber, an upgraded version of the 6105A, equipped with a hacking function. While this is a diver’s model with strong water resistance by design, please note that the crown remains in its original vintage state and thus should not be relied upon for water resistance in modern use.

The 1960s marked a period of peak development for mechanical wristwatches, during which Seiko caught up with—and in some areas surpassed—its global counterparts in both precision competitions and mass production. At the same time, the age of electronic watches was dawning, culminating in Seiko’s release of the world’s first quartz wristwatch in December 1969. This moment signaled the beginning of a major shift from mechanical to quartz technology in the world of horology.
