OMEGA Railmaster Ref.165.002の中でも、“Railmaster Official”表記を備えるバリエーション。ポーセリンを思わせるラッカーホワイトのダイヤルに、大ぶりのアラビア数字と夜光インデックスを配し、ブラックプリントのリーフハンドとレッドのセンターセコンドを組み合わせています。ノンデイトのCal.550を搭載し、薄く整えられたケースとフラットリンク1035ブレスレットが、軽快で安定した装着感をもたらします。Cal.550は3姿勢調整が施された仕様で、Railmaster搭載機のために特別調整された特徴のひとつとされています。

ダイヤルはクラックのない状態です。文字盤の白さとプリントのコントラストは良好で、視認性を損なう要素は見受けられません。ルーペで確認すると、ごくわずかに黄ばみが見られますが、印象を大きく左右するものではありません。ブレスレットは可動も含め自然な状態を保ち、日常で扱いやすいコンディションです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

“Railmaster Official”は、外観が近い“Railroad Official Standard”表記の個体から、1960年代半ば以降に移行した可能性を示す見解が見られます。確認例としては1964〜1968年頃に集中するという報告があり、Cal.550／ケースRef.165.002／レッドのセンターセコンドという組み合わせで見られることが多いようです。市販品とは異なる背景を感じさせる“OFFICIAL”表記と、仕様の整合が生む説得力こそが、このモデルの魅力と言えるでしょう。

This is a variation of the OMEGA Railmaster Ref. 165.002 that bears the "Railmaster Official" inscription. It features a porcelain-like lacquer white dial with large Arabic numerals and luminous indexes, combined with black-printed leaf hands and a red center second hand. Equipped with the no-date Cal. 550, the slim case and flat-link 1035 bracelet provide a light and stable wearing experience. The Cal. 550 is adjusted in three positions, one of the features specially tailored for Railmaster-equipped watches.

The dial shows no cracks. The whiteness of the surface and the contrast of the printing remain strong, with no elements that detract from legibility. Under magnification, only faint signs of slight aging can be observed, without materially affecting the overall impression. The bracelet retains natural flexibility and remains well suited for everyday wear. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The “Railmaster Official” marking is thought to have succeeded the closely related “Railroad Official Standard” designation sometime from the mid-1960s onward. Documented examples appear to cluster between approximately 1964 and 1968, frequently seen in the configuration of Cal. 550, case Ref. 165.002, and a red central seconds hand. The presence of the “OFFICIAL” script—suggesting a context distinct from standard retail production—combined with consistent specifications, lends this model its particular historical intrigue and appeal.
