COMMENT
This piece combines an 18K yellow gold square case with an onyx dial. The dial is adorned only with the brand logo and “SWISS MADE,” accompanied by two dauphine hands in a highly minimalistic design. Its balanced proportions and reassuring weight give it a natural presence on the wrist.
The watch houses the ultra-thin Cal.895, a movement developed for high-grade models and also supplied to Audemars Piguet. Designed to optimize precision across four crown-based positions, it reflects the era’s uncompromising pursuit of accuracy.
The case shows only light signs of wear, with no major scratches, and the glass remains in excellent condition. Despite onyx being prone to cracking, this dial is entirely free of fractures, displaying both the material’s depth and the charm of vintage design. The hands show slight patina that harmonizes with the overall character. Fully serviced by our watchmakers.
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s classical refinement is fully expressed here. The flawless dial, reflecting against the crystal, creates an illusion of infinite depth. Accompanied by its original strap and pin buckle, the watch retains its authenticity and stands as a rare and collectible piece.
BRAND
Jaeger-LeCoultre is a true manufacture, continuing to produce a wide range of distinctive models. Historically, the maison supplied ebauches, movements, and components to other great names such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Cartier. Founded in 1833 in a small Swiss workshop, the company grew into a leading supplier of precision mechanisms and parts, guided by its belief in “standing by science.” Situated in the heart of Switzerland’s watchmaking region, it established itself as a cornerstone of fine watchmaking. Today, with iconic creations such as the Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre remains one of the few maisons to uphold true in-house production across every stage of manufacture.
