28〜34mmまでのミッドサイズケースは、1940年代当時の通常メンズサイズであり、当時の最先端トレンド。欧米では、星の数ほど存在した時計メーカーだが、当時、日本に輸入された時計はほんの一部のため、日本人にとってはマイナーブランドであることもしばしばある。そんな無名の逸品にこそ、私たちがまだ見ぬ素晴らしい時計が数多く存在します。

BRAND

第二次大戦時の軍用時計で有名になり、その後アラームウォッチなどを含め様々なモデルに定評を博したアメリカの古豪ウォッチブランドです。しかしクオーツショックの煽りを受けその過程で倒産しました。現在もブランド名は残っていますが、ブランド名のみでアンティークのベンラスとは実質的な関わりはありません。

This watch boasts a rich expression crafted by human hands, with plenty of highlights to admire. Firstly, the deep black dial. It maintains an appealing condition, free from noticeable scratches or stains. The distinctive design of the hands takes on an artistic coloring through aging. The shape of the lugs smoothly extending from the case is sculptural, exuding an indiscernible seam and a captivating beauty. It's a masterpiece intricately adorned with the unique beauty found only in watches of this era.

The mid-sized case ranging from 28 to 34mm was a standard men's size in the 1940s, representing the cutting-edge trend of the time. While there were numerous watchmakers in Europe and America, only a fraction of them had their timepieces imported to Japan at the time, making them minor brands to the Japanese. It is within such obscure gems that many wonderful timepieces yet remain undiscovered.

BRAND

Renowned for its military watches during World War II, this American heritage watch brand gained acclaim for various models, including alarm watches, in the aftermath. However, it succumbed to bankruptcy amidst the turmoil of the Quartz Crisis. While the brand name persists, it has no substantive connection to the antique Benrus beyond its name.
