COMMENT
A classic composition featuring a subtly domed silver dial paired with bar indexes and dauphine hands. Black accents at the center of the hands and indexes lend a crisp, defined expression. The slim case sits comfortably on the wrist, offering a natural and balanced fit. Executed in covered gold—thick gold bonded over stainless steel—the case presents a soft, refined luster. The bracelet is the correct Beads of Rice type, fitted with clasp No. 8220 and end links 11.
The case remains well preserved, with no notable dents. The edges of the lugs and case sides retain their dimensional definition. The dial maintains a clean silver tone free from discoloration, with minimal disturbance to its surface texture. The hands show minor hairlines, yet their sheen remains intact. The indexes exhibit no significant tarnish, and the overall condition is well balanced. The bracelet features six to nine fixed links, preserving the period-correct taper. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.
As date-equipped automatics became mainstream in the 1960s, no-date examples housed in the Seamaster second-generation case became comparatively scarce. Seen in references such as 14779 and 165.010, this configuration is appreciated for its restrained simplicity and proportional harmony. Combining the stable performance and practicality of an automatic movement with the warmth unique to covered gold, it stands as a well-balanced piece bridging daily usability and vintage character.

Founded in 1848, OMEGA is one of Switzerland’s most established watchmakers, with over 160 years of heritage. The Seamaster was introduced in 1948 to mark the company’s centenary. Whether as a symbol of a new chapter in life or a commemoration of personal achievement, few timepieces accompany life’s milestones as fittingly as an Omega—quietly marking time while enriching the moments that define it.
