COMMENT

段差の効いたシルバーダイヤルに、外周を一段落としたいわゆるパイパンダイヤルを備えています。放射状に広がるサンレイ仕上げと、立体的なアプライドインデックスが光を受けて繊細な陰影を描きます。6時位置に星のエンブレム、12時側にクロノメーター表記を配し、コンステレーションの系譜を明確に示す構成です。ドーフィンハンドとデイト窓がバランス良く収まり、端正なフェイスを形成しています。

クロノメーターCal.561は、カレンダー早送り(21時⇔1時の間針を往復させる)が付く、5ポジション（五姿勢および温度調整）の機械であり、歴代の500系オートマチック・ムーブメントを改良して高評価を残した機械。日常的に使い易い時計です。

ダイヤルは質感を損なうダメージのない良好な状態を維持し、パイパン特有の段差も明瞭です。インデックスのエッジは立体感を保ち、ブラックラインも鮮明に残っています。ケースはラグの面構成が崩れておらず、裏蓋の天文台メダリオンも視認性を確保しています。全体として均整の取れたコンディションです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

この世代のオメガの機械は自動巻効率が優秀なため、手巻きを必要とする場合がほとんどありません。コンステレーションのオリジナル竜頭は、デザイン性を重視しています。手巻きし難いなど、マニュアルでの操作が重い感じますが、オリジナルの仕様であり、問題ありません。

Omega Constellation features a stepped silver dial with the characteristic recessed outer track known as the “pie-pan” configuration. The radially brushed sunray finish and applied faceted indexes catch the light with refined depth. At six o’clock, the applied star emblem anchors the design, while the chronometer text beneath twelve clearly affirms its lineage within the Constellation family. Dauphine hands and a neatly framed date aperture complete a balanced, composed dial layout.

Powered by the chronometer-certified Cal. 561, this movement incorporates a semi-quickset date mechanism operated by advancing the hands back and forth between approximately 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Adjusted in five positions and for temperature, it represents a highly regarded evolution of Omega’s 500-series automatic calibers. Reliable and practical, it remains well suited to everyday use.

The dial remains in excellent condition, free from damage that would disrupt its texture, with the stepped pie-pan structure clearly defined. The faceted edges of the indexes retain their dimensionality, and the black accents remain sharp. The case preserves the integrity of its lug geometry, and the observatory medallion on the caseback remains clearly visible. Overall, it presents a well-balanced and carefully maintained example. The automatic winding efficiency of this generation is notably high, making manual winding rarely necessary. The original Constellation crown prioritizes design aesthetics; while manual winding may feel slightly firm, this is consistent with the original specification and does not indicate a fault.
