Ref.6111のケースデザインは独創的で、ブランドの象徴であるマルタ十字を四分割し、それぞれをラグとしてラウンドケースに接続する意匠となっています。ダイヤルは象嵌と呼ばれる製法を採用しており、ガラス質の釉薬を焼き付けてメーカーロゴやミニッツマーカーを立体的に表現する、高級機にのみ用いられる古典技術です。インデックスは1950年代らしいユニークなカットを有し、砲弾型の先端が外周に向かって斜めにカットされている様子は、ここにもマルタ十字を想起させる工夫が凝られてます。針の造形は秀逸で、特にテール部分の膨らみが上品な印象を与えています。

Cal. P1007/BS は、1950年代にクロノメーターロワイヤル専用として開発された高級手巻ムーブメントであり、ジャガー・ルクルト製Cal.453をベースにチューンナップされたものです。付加機能されたバランスストップ機構により、リューズを引くと秒針が停止し、正確な時刻合わせが可能です。高精度追求を体現する当時の最先端の技術で、温度調整と五姿勢調整を施した、完成度の高いムーブメントです。

ケースは複雑なフォルムですが、面は平で、シャープなエッジと完璧なプロポーションを保っています。ラグ裏のホールマークや、裏蓋の"Chronomètre Royal"の刻印は鮮明に残っており、使用感を感じさせない状態です。ミドルケースは裏蓋で隠れる箇所に434の数字が刻印されており、裏蓋のシリアル末尾3桁と一致することで、オリジナルであることが確認できます。ダイヤルはミントコンディションを維持し、目立つ劣化は一切見られません。アプライドのロゴやインデックス、針は美しく、瑞々しい輝きです。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

当品の特筆すべき特徴は、スモールセコンド仕様であるという点です。1950年代当時としては画期的なハック（秒針規制）を搭載していることから、その機能性をより強調する目的でセンターセコンドが主流であり、スモールセコンド仕様は非常に稀少な存在です。クロノメーターロワイヤルは、ヴァシュロンにおいて最上級ラインに位置付けられ、誕生したモデルです。その最初期の製品では、前衛的なデザインと、伝統的な製造技法が見事に融合しています。

ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンは18世紀半ばに創業された、現存する最古の高級時計ブランドです。日本では長らく「バセロン・コンスタンチン」とも呼ばれて親しまれてきました。照明の乏しい時代、熟練の職人たちは明るい屋根裏部屋（キャビネット）に工房を構え、彼らは敬意を込めて“キャビノチェ”と呼ばれていました。その精神を受け継ぎ、ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンはマルタ十字をロゴに掲げ、卓越した技術と洗練された美意識をもって数々の名作を世に送り出しています。コレクターからも高く評価され、世界的に不動の地位を築いているブランドです。

COMMENT

The case design of Ref. 6111 is uniquely executed, featuring an interpretation of the brand’s emblematic Maltese cross split into four segments, each forming a lug that connects to the round case. The dial employs a traditional “champlevé” enamel technique, in which glass-based enamel is kiln-fired to render the brand logo and minute markers in crisp relief—a classical, high-end method reserved for luxury pieces. The hour markers feature distinctly 1950s-style cuts, with bullet-shaped ends beveling outward toward the periphery—yet another subtle reference to the Maltese cross. The hands are finely sculpted, with an elegant swell on the tail end that adds refinement and visual balance.

The watch houses the Cal. P1007/BS, a hand-wound movement originally developed in the 1950s exclusively for the Chronomètre Royal line. Based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Cal. 453, it was specially tuned to include a hacking seconds mechanism, allowing the seconds hand to stop when the crown is pulled for precise time setting. This movement represents the peak of chronometric innovation of its era, with temperature and five-position adjustment ensuring outstanding precision.

The case is remarkably well preserved, showcasing sharp edges and ideal proportions. The hallmark beneath the lugs and the “Chronomètre Royal” engraving on the caseback remain crisp, attesting to minimal handling. Hidden beneath the caseback, the inner mid-case is stamped with the number “434,” matching the final three digits of the serial number on the caseback—confirming the original pairing. The dial is in mint condition, free of any notable degradation. The applied logo, hour markers, and hands all retain a lustrous, vivid brilliance. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.
