The glossy black mirror dial is fitted with baton indexes and dauphine hands. Unlike the conventional galvanic process, where the lettering is formed by exposing the surface beneath the glossy black finish, the signatures, chronometer text, and minute track on this example are printed in silver over the black surface. This gives the lettering a more dimensional appearance than is typically seen on galvanic dials. Depending on the angle of the light, the printing can recede into the black mirror surface with an almost ghost-like effect, or reflect brightly and stand out with remarkable clarity. The watch is fitted with a riveted Oyster bracelet, Ref. 7205, with 57 end links and a clasp stamped “64\/4.”\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe case shows minor scratches consistent with age, while the lugs retain substantial thickness and the overall profile remains well defined. The black dial preserves its mirror-like gloss, with the silver lettering and other markings remaining crisp. Mirror dials in this condition are seldom encountered. The hands and indexes are well preserved, retaining their original plated finish, while the lume has aged to a soft vintage tone. The bracelet complements the case naturally. This suggests that Rolex may have used the technique only for a limited period.
