中心を軸に円を描くサークルヘアライン仕上げのダイヤルに、バーインデックスとペンシルハンドを組み合わせ、放射状の仕上げが施されたベゼルが全体の印象をより一層引き締めています。Ref.168.022／166.028のデイト付きシーマスターは、一般的に梨地ダイヤルが多く見られる中、本個体のように繊細な光を反射する放射状ダイヤルは希少で、洗練された個性を備えています。視認性の高いレイアウトに加え、実用的なデイト機能、スクリューバック構造を持つ端正な意匠が魅力です。ムーブメントにはCal.565を搭載し、オメガの黄金期を代表する高性能キャリバーとして知られています。1段引きでの時刻調整、2段引きでの日付クイックチェンジを備え、操作性にも優れた一本です。ブレスレットはRef.1125、エンドリンク560が付属します。

ケースにはわずかな使用傷が見られますが、ラグの稜線がしっかりと保たれており、全体の印象を引き締めています。ダイヤルはミントで、目立った経年変化は見られません。時分針は上面のメッキに色味の変化が起きています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

本個体は、特徴的なオレンジ色の秒針を備えており、コレクターの間では「Ultraman」の愛称で知られる仕様です。これは同時期のスピードマスタープロフェッショナルに短期間のみ採用された仕様と共通しており、1968年のメキシコオリンピック広告にも掲載された記録があります。画像ニ枚目は参考資料で、付属品ではございません。端正なデザインに個性あるアクセントが加わった一本で、シーマスターの中でもとりわけ魅力的なバリエーションといえるでしょう。

COMMENT

This Seamaster features a circular brushed dial centered around a radial hairline finish, paired with pencil hands and bar indexes. The sunburst-finished bezel further sharpens the overall impression. While most Ref. 168.022 / 166.028 models typically feature matte dials, this example stands out with its radiant finish that subtly reflects light—an uncommon and refined variation. Its clean, legible layout is enhanced by the practical date function and a screw-down caseback. Powered by Caliber 565, one of Omega’s hallmark high-performance movements from its golden era, it offers both precise timekeeping and a quick-set date function via a two-step crown system. The watch comes fitted with bracelet Ref. 1125 and end links stamped 560.

The case shows only minimal signs of wear, with the crisp lines of the lugs well preserved—adding a sense of clarity and structure. The dial remains in mint condition, showing virtually no signs of aging. The hour and minute hands display minor color changes to the plating surface. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our watchmaker.

Of particular note is the distinctive orange seconds hand, a rare and collectible detail often referred to as the "Ultraman" variant among enthusiasts. This style is shared with certain Speedmaster Professional models from the same period, notably featured in Omega’s promotional material for the 1968 Mexico Olympics. With its sharp design and vibrant accent, this is one of the most compelling Seamaster variations from the era.
