アイボリーのローマンダイアルは、マストタンクの中で最もスタンダードかつポピュラーなアイテムです。クラシックなアイボリーの色合いに華を添えるのは、ブルースチールの針とブルーサファイアのカボションリューズです。マストシリーズには＜vermeil（ヴェルメイユ）＞という、シルバーの上に厚く金を貼る加工技術が用いられ、手間とコストがかかっているため高級感のある仕様です。

ケースはとても良いコンディションで、ガラスも含めて傷が無く綺麗です。肉眼で気になるものではありませんが、文字盤にはヴィンテージのカルティエによく見られるクラックが少々見られますが、それもまた魅力の一部です。ベルトはタンク専用オリジナルのサイズで製作されており、カルティエ純正のバックルが装備されていますので、そのオリジナル性をお楽しみいただけます。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

COMMENT

The ivory Roman dial is the most standard and popular design within the Must de Cartier Tank lineup. Accenting the classic ivory tone are elegant blued steel hands and a blue sapphire cabochon crown. The Must series utilizes a technique known as vermeil—a process in which a thick layer of gold is applied over sterling silver—adding both complexity and cost to production, resulting in a distinctly luxurious finish.

The case is in excellent condition, with no noticeable scratches, including on the crystal. While not visible to the naked eye during wear, the dial shows light cracking, a common trait among vintage Cartier models, which adds to its vintage character and appeal. The strap has been custom made in the original Tank size and is fitted with a genuine Cartier buckle, preserving the watch’s original aesthetic and integrity.
