1963年製のインター。ケースはラグからサイドまでがシームレスなカラトラバタイプ。Ref.R847はケース径36.5mmのジャンボサイズです。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ仕上げ。水を張ったような光の反射が美しい仕上げです。インデックスは手作業で植字されたバー。カラトラバケースのモデルはショートインデックスが多い中、ここまで長いものは珍しいです。外周の控えめなパールドットは高級感を高めています。

Cal.853は1950年に発表された“ペラトン自動巻き”を搭載。この機構は＜アルバート・ペラトン＞が開発したといわれている機構で、爪で巻き上げるラチェット式自動巻の最高傑作です。

This 1963 Intere from IWC features a seamless Calatrava-type case, extending seamlessly from the lugs to the sides. The Ref.R847 boasts a jumbo size with a case diameter of 36.5mm. The dial has a silver sunray finish, offering a beautiful reflection akin to water. The indexes are manually applied bars, a rare feature for Calatrava case models, with such elongated indexes being uncommon. The discreet pearl dots on the outer periphery elevate its luxury appeal.

Equipped with the Caliber 853, which debuted in 1950, it features the "Pellaton automatic winding" mechanism. This mechanism, said to be developed by Albert Pellaton, represents the pinnacle of ratchet-type automatic winding, where winding is done with pawls.
