サンレイ仕上げのダイヤルは中央が盛り上がったボンベ形状、斜傾部に配された砲弾インデックスと、パールドロップによるミニッツマーカーが立体感を際立たせます。段付きダイヤルにおいてはホワイト系が一般的な中で、このようなサンレイ仕様は稀少です。日付表示が文字盤の中心寄りに配置された、いわゆる“寄り目”デザイン。整然としたIWCのデザイン原則からわずかに外れるとも言えるこの構成が、逆に心地よい個性を感じさせます。ケースは18金ホワイト無垢製で、通常モデルとは一線を画しています。通称“シーラカンス”と呼ばれるヴィンテージリューズが装着しています。

While stepped dials are typically seen with white finishes, this sunray variation is notably rare. The date aperture is positioned unusually close to the dial’s center, a so-called “cross-eyed” layout, and the minute track is similarly drawn inward, giving the design a distinctive character. This subtle deviation from IWC’s typically strict design principles introduces a quiet charm that sets the watch apart. The case is crafted from solid 18K gold—another point of distinction—and is fitted with the vintage-style crown nicknamed “Coelacanth,” further enhancing its rarity.

While minor wear is visible on the case, the lugs retain sharp, well-defined edges, contributing to the watch’s overall crisp appearance.
