「OYSTER」の響きにはロレックスを思い浮かべるのが一般的でしょうか。このオイスターはROLEXのディフュージョンブランドとして展開されたもので、当時R.W.C.(Rolex Watch Company)というグループ会社のひとつとして、「OYSTER」名義で販売していた品です。裏蓋の外側にも、よく見るとR.W.C.の刻印が打たれています。

ケースはぽってりとしたミッドサイズケースに飛び出した小ぶりのねじ込みリューズが愛らしいです。長く伸びたラグが個性的。ダイヤルはマットホワイト。外周から、ミニッツトラック、ギルトハチマキ、そして夜光塗料の飛びアラビアインデックスです。ダイヤルに凝縮感が感じられる、1940年代のRWCらしい独自の意匠です。バトンハンドはブルースチールです。搭載ムーブメントであるCal.59はFHF30をベースとしています。

ケースは使い込まれ素晴らしい迫力となっています。Rolex名義ではないためか、シリアルが削り取られています。ダイヤルは年式通りのエイジングを表しています。程よく焼けたダイヤルはヴィンテージらしいこなれた扱いやすい雰囲気です。針はブルースチールの色味をよく残しており高評価です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

The resonance of "OYSTER" typically evokes thoughts of Rolex. However, this Oyster is a diffusion brand developed by Rolex Watch Company (R.W.C.), one of the group companies, and was sold under the "OYSTER" name. The engraving of R.W.C. can be observed on the outer side of the case back.

The case features a charming mid-size shape with a petite screw-down crown protruding. The elongated lugs add a distinctive touch. The dial is matte white, with a minute track on the outer perimeter, gilt honeycomb pattern, and luminous Arabic numerals. The dial exudes a condensed aesthetic unique to R.W.C. in the 1940s. Baton hands in blue steel complement the design. The movement powering this timepiece is the Cal.59, based on the FHF30.

The case exhibits a wonderful, well-worn presence. The serial number appears to have been removed, possibly due to it not being under the Rolex brand. The dial shows aging consistent with its age. The appropriately weathered dial exudes a vintage charm with a well-maintained and approachable atmosphere. The blue steel hands are highly regarded, retaining their original color.
