まず目に止まるのは、ケース側面の彫刻の様な装飾。夜光付きのブルースチール針のフォルムはユニークで珍しい表情をしています。ダイアル中央部が膨らんだドーム型の形状は、立体感がありケースデザインとのコンビネーションの良さを感じます。40年代のアメリカンウォッチを純粋に楽しめる珍しい表情を持つ一本です。

The first thing that catches the eye is the decorative carving on the case side. The shape of the luminescent blue steel hands is unique and has a rare expression. The domed shape in the center of the dial adds depth and complements the case design well. It's a rare piece that allows you to enjoy the pure essence of 1940s American watches.

Known as a reformer in watch design, GRUEN is counted among America's largest watchmakers, with a founding date of 1894, making it a venerable institution. It operated until around 1958 and was based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
