エニカシェルパの希少種、通称Garnixです。エニカのシェルパシリーズはEPSA製の防水ケースに収めた頑強なつくりが、多くの冒険家に支持され、エベレスト探検や南極探検などの極限状態にも採用されました。当モデルは傑作クロノグラフムーブメントとして名高い「Valjuoux 72」を搭載したマーク3と同時期に販売されたとされるGarnix。シェルパグラフとほとんど同様のスペックを有していますが、ダイヤルにはSherpa Graphの表記が見られないのが特徴です。

シェルパはロングセラーのシリーズですので多くのバリエーションがあります。時分針はマーク4と同様のバトン針。センタークロノ針はマーク3のレッドのロリポップポインターです。Garnixはブルーダイヤルや金張利ケースの個体も確認されていますが、こちらはシンプルなSSケース、ブラックマットダイヤルを採用しています。

ダイヤルは比較的ミントなコンディションです。ダイヤルのマットな質感に対し、滝メーター部はミラーの艶を見せています。ミラーは若干の経年変化が見られますが、さほど気になりません。綺麗なベージュカラーで現存しているトリチウム夜光が状態の良さを表しています。ケースはエッジが効いており、迫力を感じます。弊社で分解掃除済みです。

「Garnix」はドイツ語で「何もない」を意味します。すっきりとしたダイヤルは、エニカファンの間ではコレクターアイテムとされており、ミステリアスなストーリーが魅力の一品です。

レーシングドライバーに愛用された名機「シェルパグラフ」。1854年創業と長い歴史を誇るエニカですが、なかでもシェルパシリーズはブランドの代表的なモデルで、傑作クロノグラフとして名高い「Valjuoux 72」をEPSA製の防水ケースに収めた頑強なつくりが多くの冒険家に支持され、エベレスト探検や南極探検などの極限状態にも採用されました。レース向けの「シェルパグラフ」ですが、頑強なシェルパの名前は健在で、ジムクラークなど多くのレーシングドライバーと共に栄光を勝ち取り1960〜1969年頃までのロングヒット商品となりました。

Here we have the rare variant of the Enicar Sherpa, commonly known as Garnix. The Enicar Sherpa series, known for its robust construction housed in an EPSA-made waterproof case, gained popularity among numerous adventurers and was even used in extreme conditions such as Everest and Antarctic explorations. The Garnix model, believed to have been released around the same time as the Sherpa Graph Mark 3, is equipped with the renowned "Valjoux 72" chronograph movement, known for its exceptional performance.

While sharing similar specifications with the Sherpa Graph, this model distinguishes itself by the absence of the "Sherpa Graph" inscription on the dial. The Sherpa series, being a long-selling line, comes in various variations. This particular Garnix features baton hands for hours and minutes, similar to the Mark 4, and a red lollipop pointer for the central chronograph hand, reminiscent of the Mark 3. Unlike some Garnix models with blue dials or gold-plated cases, this one opts for a simple stainless steel case with a matte black dial.

The dial is in relatively mint condition. The matte texture of the dial contrasts with the glossy meter portion. The mirror finish exhibits slight aging, but it's not prominently noticeable. The well-preserved beige tritium lume adds to the charm. The case, with its sharp edges, exudes a powerful presence. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our experts.

The term "Garnix" translates to "nothing" in German. The clean dial design is considered a collector's item among Enicar enthusiasts, and the mysterious story behind it adds to its allure.
