COMMENT

グランドセイコーの中でも特別希少な一品、61GSVFAです。ソリッドな樽型Cラインケースは、ヘアラインと鏡面を見事に分けた70年代らしい造形です。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ。針は全てバーですが、時針はシルバーの中央にブラック、分針はブラック、秒針はすべてシルバーと異なるデザインです。アプライドのバーインデックスは高さがあり、より立体感を持ちます。1969年8月に製造された初期の作品であり、ダイヤルにはVFA表記は見られません。

ケースは鋭いエッジが良く立っています。小傷がありますが、それはこの時計に変な手が入っていない良い証となり、大変高ポイントです。ダイヤルはパーフェクトです。針やインデックス、レーターのプリント等、文句の付け所がありません。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

VFAは「Very Fine Adjusted」の略称で、高精度を意味します。クロノメーター検定を遥かに超える精度「月差±60秒」を実現し、機械式腕時計では前例のないレベルでした。最高の機械と70年代のデザイン性を兼ね備えた、機械式時計の1つの到達点です。

COMMENT

The 61GSVFA is a particularly rare and exceptional piece even among Grand Seiko collections. Featuring a solid barrel-shaped C-line case, flawlessly divided between hairline and mirror finishes, it embodies the characteristic design of the 1970s. The dial has a silver sunray finish. All the hands are bars, but with unique designs: the hour hand has a black center on silver, the minute hand is black, and the second hand is entirely silver. The applied bar indices are tall, adding to the three-dimensional effect. Produced in August 1969, this early piece doesn't bear the VFA notation on the dial.

The case boasts sharp edges, a sign of excellent preservation. While minor scratches are present, they attest to the originality of the watch, marking it as a highly desirable feature. The dial is flawless, with impeccable hands, indices, and lettering prints. It has been disassembled and cleaned by us.

VFA stands for "Very Fine Adjusted," indicating high precision. It achieved an accuracy far beyond the chronometer certification, with a deviation of ±60 seconds per month, setting an unprecedented standard for mechanical wristwatches. It represents a pinnacle of mechanical watches, blending the finest craftsmanship with the design sensibilities of the 1970s.
