Ref.7018-6000「タイムソナー」は、1970年代に製造されたセイコーの自動巻クロノグラフで、Cal.7018を搭載しています。Cal.7018はストップ機構付きのフライバッククロノグラフで、センターにクロノ針と分積算針を同軸に備えた独自設計が特徴です。本個体は「タイムソナー」の中でもブラックマットダイヤルを採用したタイプで、シンプルなフェイスにバーインデックスとオレンジのクロノ秒針が映え、精悍な印象を与えます。裏蓋がスケルトン仕様となっており、Cal.7018の機構を直接鑑賞できる点もこのシリーズならではの魅力です。曜日は英語と日本語で切り替え可能です。

ケースはステンレススチール製で、丸みを帯びたクッションシェイプを採用。適度な使用感はあるものの、エッジやケースラインは明瞭に保たれています。ブラックダイヤルはマットな質感を維持し、プリントやインデックスは鮮明。針のオレンジは色味を残しており、全体にバランスの取れたコンディションです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

The Seiko Ref.7018-6000 “Time Sonar” is an automatic chronograph produced in the 1970s, powered by the Cal.7018. This calibre is a flyback chronograph with stop function, distinguished by its innovative coaxial design—placing both the central chronograph seconds hand and the minute counter on the same axis. This particular example features the rarer matte black dial variant, where the clean layout with applied bar indexes is sharpened by a vivid orange chronograph hand. Another hallmark of the “Time Sonar” is its see-through caseback, allowing direct appreciation of the Cal.7018’s mechanics. The day display can be switched between English and Japanese.

The stainless steel cushion-shaped case shows light wear consistent with age, yet retains sharp edges and well-defined lines. The matte black dial remains well preserved with crisp printing and intact indexes. The orange chronograph hand has retained its color, lending the watch a striking contrast.
