LECOULTRE Shark Deep Sea Diver Ref.E2643 Super Compressor Case

ルクルトのRef.E2643は1960年代後半に発売されたダイバークロノグラフです。ルクルト名義のアメリカでは「Shark Deep Sea」、ジャガールクルト名義のヨーロッパでは「Vogue Chronograph」の名で呼ばれています。

ケースはホイヤーのオータビアのような極太のラグ、60分表記のベゼルを備えています。ベゼルのローレットは等間隔に配されており、細かいエッジはまさにサメの歯のようです。ダイヤルはブラックマット。インダイヤルがホワイトの、リバースパンダです。外周部にはタキメーター。インデックスにはトリチウムを採用しています。針は先端にルミナスとブラックプリントを配した、他のメーカーではあまり見られないタイプを装備しています。搭載ムーブメントはCal.Valjoux 72で、当時のロレックス「デイトナ」やホイヤー「オータビア」に搭載された有名な機械です。

ケースは研磨歴こそ感じられるものの、極太ラグのファセットが現存する良いものです。ダメージの表れやすいベゼルは黒々としており、ルミナスポイントの色味が素晴らしいです。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。気になるような劣化は一切見られず、ルミナスは素晴らしいベージュカラーを見せています。針の状態がよく、上面の鏡面反射は当時の質感を残しています。こちらの商品は弊社にて分解掃除を施していません。ご購入の際は、オーバーホール後のお渡しとなります。

当時各社がスポーツウォッチに対する性能を求め競争した時代、ビッグネームであるルクルトが発表した希少な品です。しかしオメガ、ホイヤー、ロレックスなどによって市場が安定しため、わずか数年の生産のみとなりました。ブランドネーム、性能、そしてコンディションと非の打ちどころない逸品となっています。

The Ref.E2643 by LeCoultre, released in the late 1960s, is a diver's chronograph. Known as the "Shark Deep Sea" in America under the LeCoultre name and as the "Vogue Chronograph" in Europe under the Jaeger-LeCoultre name.

The case features robust lugs reminiscent of the Heuer Autavia, along with a 60-minute marked bezel. The bezel's serrations are evenly spaced, resembling shark teeth. The dial is matte black, with a reverse panda layout featuring white sub-dials. It has a tachymeter on the periphery, with tritium indices. The hands are of a unique type, with luminous tips and black print, not commonly seen in other brands. It's powered by the Cal. Valjoux 72 movement, famous for being used in Rolex "Daytona" and Heuer "Autavia" at the time.

While the case shows signs of polishing, the robust lug facets remain intact. The bezel, prone to damage, is deep black, with excellent coloration of the luminous points. The dial is in mint condition, showing no noticeable deterioration, with the luminous exhibiting a splendid beige hue. The hands are in excellent condition, with mirror-like reflections on the surface, retaining the texture of the time. This item has not undergone disassembly cleaning by our team. Upon purchase, it will be delivered after an overhaul.

During an era when various companies competed for the performance of sports watches, LeCoultre, a big name, introduced this rare piece. However, due to market stabilization by brands like Omega, Heuer, and Rolex, its production lasted only a few years. With its brand name, performance, and impeccable condition, it stands as an exceptional piece.
