COMMENT

シルバーのサンレイダイヤルはシンプルでありながら奥行きを感じさせる立体的なデザインです。中央部が大きくカーブしたボンベダイヤルがアクセントとなり、視覚的な豊かさを添えています。外周にパールドロップと呼ばれる球状のミニッツドットが配され、微細な輝きで文字盤を囲みます。針とインデックスの上面はブラックが施され、視認性の向上を意図した実用的な意匠となっています。

ムーブメントは円熟期の自社製造による最終キャリバーとして知られる8541Bを搭載。仕上げの美しさと高い性能を兼ね備えた機械であり、アンティーク時計の入門機として最適です。名を馳せたペラトン式自動巻きは巻上げ効率が高く、日常使用に安心感を与えます。

ケースは傷が少なく、ラグ周りに大きなダメージは見られません。裏蓋はオリジナルのヘアラインが残されており良好な状態です。ダイヤルは穏やかな経年変化によりシャンパンゴールド調の表情へと移り変わっています。針とインデックスはくすみや傷のないコンディションを維持。ブラックプリントは崩れず当時の姿を保っています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

The silver sunray dial presents a design that is simple yet full of depth, its domed “bombé” profile at the center adding a touch of dimensionality and visual richness. Along the perimeter, raised pearl-drop minute dots encircle the dial with a subtle sparkle. Both hands and indexes are finished with black tops, a practical detail that enhances legibility while contributing to the balanced aesthetics.

Powering the watch is the Cal. 8541B, the final in-house caliber of its generation, celebrated for its refined finishing and performance. A hallmark of IWC, the Pellaton winding system delivers excellent efficiency, providing assurance in everyday use. With its robust construction and reliable precision, it is also an ideal introduction to the world of vintage mechanical watches.

The case shows minimal wear, with no notable damage around the lugs. The caseback retains its original brushed finish and remains in excellent condition. The dial has gracefully aged, taking on a warm champagne hue, while the hands and indexes remain free from tarnish or damage. The black print is intact and sharply preserved. Serviced and disassembled by our watchmaker.
