COMMENT

機械式全盛期のオメガらしい、完成度の高い一本です。クオーツショック以前の円熟期に製造された個体で、年を重ねても自然に寄り添うデザインバランスを備えています。厚みとサイズの取り回しが良く、日本人の腕にも収まりやすいプロポーション。Ref.166.010は文字盤は針とインデックスの間に黒色を用いたオニキスタイプが多い中、こちらはそれを配さないよりシンプルなタイプとなっています。ブレスレットはビーズオブライス Ref.1036、エンドリンク11が組み合わされています。

状態の良さが際立ちます。ダイヤルはシルバーベースに淡い焼けが入り、エイジングを含んだシャンパン調の色味が美しく整っています。目立つシミや傷は見受けられず、色の深みを楽しめるコンディションです。ケースはエッジが残り、輪郭の立った印象。ムーブメントは過去の入水痕が確認できない状態で、コンディションの良さが伺えます。ブレスレットは固定リンクが6〜9個で、当時らしいテーパー感もしっかり残っています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

わずかにカーブした文字盤、ドーフィンハンドといったヴィンテージらしいディテールを、日常で無理なく楽しめるモデルです。意匠としてのアンティーク感がありつつ、機械式ムーブメントが成熟した世代ならではの安定感も期待できます。スーツスタイルにもよく馴染み、清潔感のある佇まいで長く付き合えるオメガと言えるでしょう。

COMMENT

This is a highly refined watch, typical of Omega's heyday of mechanical watches. Produced during its mature period before the quartz crisis, it boasts a design balance that will continue to look natural with age. Its thickness and size make it easy to handle, making it a comfortable fit for Japanese wrists. While the Ref. 166.010 often features an onyx dial with black accents between the hands and indices, this model features a simpler design without them. The bracelet is a Beads of Rice Ref. 1036 with 11 end links.

The watch stands out for its exceptional condition. The silver dial has a slight patina, adding a beautiful champagne hue due to aging. There are no spots or scratches, making the color richly enjoyable and attractive.
