COMMENT

1968年1月に諏訪精工舎より製造が開始された3万6000振動の自動巻モデル。ケースは多面カットと鏡面・ヘアラインの切り替えが美しいです。ダイアルはシルバーのサンレイ、インデックスと針はセンターにブラックプリントを配した読時に優れたデザインです。ムーブメントのベースはセイコーマチックファイブ（61系）。マジックレバー方式を採用し、最小の部品で最高の巻き上げ効率を誇るハイビートモデルの先駆的存在です。

ケースは使用感が少々感じられる状態ですが、全体的にシルエットが崩れておらず、大きな傷がない良好なコンディションです。ケースバックのメダリオンに目立ったダメージは見られません。ダイヤルはエイジングの兆候がなく、シルバーの美しい輝きを維持しています。針はくすみや傷が一切なく、見事な状態です。インデックスも黒のプリントが鮮明に残り、崩れや摩耗が見られない点が高く評価できます。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

An automatic high-beat model operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, first produced by Suwa Seikosha in January 1968. The case features beautifully executed multi-faceted cuts with alternating mirror-polished and hairline finishes. The silver sunray dial is paired with indexes and hands accented by black printing at their centers, ensuring excellent legibility. The movement is based on the Seikomatic Five (61 series), incorporating the Magic Lever system—achieving exceptional winding efficiency with minimal components—and standing as a pioneering presence among early high-beat models.

The case shows moderate signs of use yet retains its overall silhouette, with no significant damage. The caseback medallion remains free from notable deterioration. The dial displays no visible aging and preserves its bright silver luster. The hands are free from tarnish or scratches, presenting in remarkable condition. The black printing on the indexes remains crisp, with no signs of wear or breakdown. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Produced just prior to Seiko’s development of quartz timepieces, this model represents one of the brand’s mechanical masterpieces. It is also documented at the Seiko Museum in Ginza, standing as a highlight among vintage Japanese watches.
