ホワイトのダイヤルは、このリファレンス専用のデザインです。アワーマーカーがローマ数字で配され、ミニッツマーカーはありません。1920年代風のフォント、PARIS表記、シークレットシグネチャーはなし。針はブルースチール製。リューズは精緻なカットが施されたイエローダイヤモンドを採用。タンク＝戦車のキャタピラーに相当するケース側面に、同様のダイヤモンドがセットされ、装飾的要素として際立っています。初期型のカルティエ純正18Kディプロイメントバックルが付属しており、現行の折り返し式ではない古典的な構造です。ムーブメントはジャガー・ルクルト製Cal.845が搭載されています。

ダイヤルは傷や経年変化が見られず、美しい状態を維持しています。水入りの痕跡はなく、ブルースチールの針は鮮やかな色彩を保ち、視認性と美観を両立しています。ヴィンテージカルティエに特有のクラックは見られず、Paris表記の希少なダイヤルとして申し分のない保存状態です。リューズのイエローダイヤモンドは深みのある彩度と透明度を備えており、ダメージも見られません。ケースはポリッシュされた形跡がなく、裏蓋にわずかな保管傷が見られるのみで、全体として非常に良好な保存状態です。オリジナルのストラップが状態良くついていることで、使用頻度の少なさがわかります。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

フランス語で「伸ばす」を意味する“アロンジェ”の名の通り、ノーマルタンクを縦に引き伸ばした独特なフォルムが魅力のモデルです。縦横比のバランスが洗練されており、優雅でありながらも芯のある女性らしさを引き立てています。SMサイズしか存在せず、その中でもダイヤモンドセットにメカニックムーブメントは大変希少です。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあり、時代を先取りしたデザインが魅力的です。カルティエの時計は、その美しさに加え、耐久性と機能性を兼ね備え、今もなお世界中で愛され続けています。

COMMENT

The white dial is a design exclusive to this reference. Roman numerals are used for the hour markers, with no minute track. It features a 1920s-style typeface, with no “PARIS” inscription and no secret signature. The hands are made of blued steel. The crown is set with a finely cut yellow diamond, and matching diamonds are set along the side of the case—evoking the caterpillar treads of a tank and serving as distinct decorative elements.

This piece comes with an early Cartier original 18K deployant buckle, featuring a classical structure rather than the modern folding design. The movement is the Jaeger-LeCoultre-manufactured Cal. 845, known for its precision and reliability.

The dial is in superb condition, free from blemishes or signs of aging. There are no traces of moisture ingress, and the blued steel hands retain their vibrant hue—offering both legibility and visual appeal. Unlike many vintage Cartier dials, this one shows no cracking and stands out as a rare “Paris”-marked example in excellent preservation. The yellow diamond in the crown is richly saturated, highly transparent, and free of damage. The case shows no signs of polishing, with only minor storage marks on the caseback—overall, a remarkably well-preserved example. The original strap remains in excellent condition, indicating very limited wear. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Among Cartier’s women’s watches, the Tank Allongée is especially coveted. True to its name—allongée meaning “elongated” in French—the model stretches the proportions of the traditional Tank vertically, resulting in a distinctive and refined silhouette. Its elongated ratio enhances the elegance and strength of feminine style. Diamond-set versions with mechanical movements are particularly rare.
