ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンの「クロノメーター・ロイヤル」Ref.6694は、1960年代を代表する自動巻ドレスウォッチであり、その独特なラグ形状から「バットマン」の愛称で知られるコレクターズモデルです。翼のように張り出したラグはケースデザインと一体化しており、滑らかな曲線とシャープな稜線が共存するバランスの取れた造形を成しています。ケースは18Kホワイトゴールド製で、重厚でありながら洗練された輝きを放ちます。シルバーのサンレイダイヤルには、砲弾型のアプライドインデックスとドーフィンハンドを組み合わせ、3時位置にはデイト表示を備えています。

ケースはエッジの立った理想的なプロポーションを維持し、ヘアライン仕上げと鏡面仕上げの切り替えは鮮明に残っています。ケースサイドはホールマークが刻まれ、当時の金無垢ケースならではの重みと造形美を感じさせます。ダイヤルはミントコンディションを保ち、針・インデックスともに輝きが瑞々しく、ロゴや文字の印字は完璧な状態です。ケースバックは傷があるものの、全体として使用感はほとんど見られません。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

18世紀中頃創業のヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン。日本では誤訳により長い間バセロン・コンスタンチンの呼称で愛されていました。キャビノチェの精神に受け継ぐ世界最古の高級時計ブランドです。キャビノチェは、照明装置の乏しかった当時、技術の高い職人は明かりを求めて屋根裏部屋（キャビネット）に工房を設けており、人々は彼らに敬意を表してキャビノチェと呼んでいたことが語源です。マルタ十字のクロスをブランドロゴに掲げ、高く洗練された優れた技術力によって生み出された名品はコレクターも多く、世界中から高い評価を得ています。

The Vacheron Constantin Chronomètre Royal Ref.6694 is one of the defining automatic dress watches of the 1960s, affectionately nicknamed “Batman” by collectors for its distinctive case design. The sharply flared lugs extend like wings, seamlessly integrated into the case to create a balanced form where smooth curves meet crisp lines. Crafted from solid 18K white gold, the case exudes a refined brilliance and substantial presence. The silver sunburst dial features bullet-shaped applied indexes, dauphine hands, and a date aperture at three o’clock, forming a composition of classic elegance and functional clarity.

The case preserves its original sharp proportions, with alternating brushed and polished finishes remaining beautifully distinct. Hallmarks are clearly stamped on the case flank, evoking the weight and craftsmanship unique to solid-gold cases of the period. The dial remains in mint condition, with hands and indexes gleaming vividly, and the printed logos and text perfectly intact. While minor marks are present on the caseback, there is little evidence of wear overall. Fully serviced by our watchmakers.

Inside is the Cal.1072, Vacheron Constantin’s first automatic movement and a chronometer-certified caliber fitted with a solid 21K gold rotor. Adjusted in five positions, it represents a peak of horological refinement even by the standards of its time.
