COMMENT

ケースはミドルサイズの30mm。ラグはケースと一体のラインを描いており、滑らかなファセットの面取りが施されています。ダイヤルはグレー×ブラックミラーパターンのブルズアイ。針はシリンジでブラックのプリントが施されており、インデックスはアラビアを採用し、夜光塗料で描かれています。外周にはミニッツレイルが敷かれており、ダイヤル中央のレターとともに下地出しで描かれています。ムーブメントは耐震装置を意味する“PC”を冠したCal.26.5 T3 PCを搭載。巻き上げヒゲにチラネジ付きバイメタルテンプを備え、温度補正機構として当時の技術水準の高さを物語っています。11時位置のラグ裏に「511」の刻印があり、裏蓋内側の場合と一致しています。

ダイヤルは経年によりグレー部分から下地が見える状態となっており、もともとの色味は針根本に残る深みのあるトーンであったと推察されます。現在は斑点状に下地が覗く独特の表情に変化しており、ヴィンテージならではの味わいを感じさせます。ブラックミラーの外周部分は艶を保っており、エイジングによる微細な隆起が見られるのみです。インデックスは大きな欠けもなく、整った状態。針はダイヤルと近い色合いに退色し、全体として統一感のある風合いに仕上がっています。ケースに目立つ傷はなく、細かな使用痕が魅力を引き立てています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

“オフィサー”は、第二次世界大戦中に中立国であったスウェーデンとオメガとの提携によって、同国軍に支給された特別なモデルです。裏蓋に刻まれたスウェーデン語の刻印がその背景を証明しています。士官クラス向けに製造されたこのモデルは、夜光アラビアインデックスやシリンジハンドを備え、実用性と視認性、そして美しさを兼ね備えた一本です。軍用時計でありながら洗練された佇まいを持ち、単なるツールウォッチにとどまらない魅力を備えています。機能性、歴史的背景、そしてヴィンテージならではの風格を兼ね備えたこの“オフィサー”。コレクションの核として迎えるにふさわしい存在です。

腕時計が普及し始めた1910年代から手巻き、自動巻と変遷を経て、クオーツ時計の開発によって機械式時計が衰退します。それ以前の1960年代に機械式腕時計はひとつのピークに達します。当時は日本でも三種の神器の一つだったオメガの時計。持つ人のステータスとなる高級品で、各メーカーが精度や防水性、耐久性など切磋琢磨し開発した時代。コストをかけて、より良い時計造りのためにしのぎを削っていました。では生産されていないモデルのため、アンティークでしか味わえない魅力があります。

COMMENT

The case measures a mid-sized 30mm, with lugs that flow seamlessly from the case, enhanced by smooth, faceted bevels. The dial features a gray and black mirror-pattern bullseye design. The syringe hands are printed in black, while the Arabic numeral indexes are rendered in luminous paint. A minute track encircles the outer perimeter, and both it and the central lettering are recessed into the surface. Powering the watch is the Cal. 26.5 T3 PC—where "PC" denotes shock protection. It features a bimetallic balance with screws and a Breguet hairspring, reflecting the high technical standards of the era for temperature compensation. The back of the 11 o’clock lug bears the engraving "511," matching the serial number on the caseback.

Due to age, the gray section of the dial has faded to reveal the underlayer, though the original rich tone is preserved near the base of the hands. This has created a speckled, patinated look unique to vintage pieces. The black mirror-finished outer ring retains its gloss, with only slight aging-related texture visible. The indexes remain intact with no significant chipping, and the hands have faded to a tone that complements the dial, lending the entire watch a cohesive vintage character. The case shows no major damage, only minor wear marks that enhance its charm. The movement has been disassembled and cleaned by our team.

The “Officer” is a special model that was issued to the Swedish military during World War II as a result of Omega’s collaboration with Sweden, a neutral country at the time. This connection is affirmed by the Swedish engraving on the caseback. Produced for officers, the model features luminous Arabic numerals and syringe hands, combining legibility, functionality, and elegance. Though originally made as a military tool, it offers a refined aesthetic that transcends its utilitarian origins. With historical significance, robust design, and vintage allure, the "Officer" is a worthy centerpiece for any collection.

From the 1910s, when wristwatches began to gain popularity, Omega evolved through manual and automatic movements, until the quartz revolution caused a decline in mechanical watchmaking. Prior to that, in the 1960s, mechanical watches reached a pinnacle. In Japan, Omega watches were considered one of the "three sacred treasures"—a symbol of status and luxury. It was an era when watchmakers fiercely competed on accuracy, water resistance, and durability, investing heavily in quality. These models are no longer in production, and their appeal can only be experienced through vintage pieces.
