SEIKO 150m DIVER Ref.6105-8000

COMMENT

重厚感のあるケースにリューズガードを備えないフォルムが特徴的な、150m防水仕様のセカンドダイバーです。ベゼルの数字やバーインデックスは大きく設計され、高い視認性を実現。針とインデックスは夜光塗料で囲むように仕上げられており、暗所での判読性を確保しています。ムーブメントはCal.6105Aを改良し、ハック機能を追加したCal.6105Bを搭載しています。

ケースは軽度な使用痕こそ見られますが、シルエットが崩れていない美しい状態を保っています。ベゼルは5分位置に傷が見られるものの、全体としてブラックプリントやポインターは良好な状態を維持。ダイヤルはエイジングが見られず、深いブラックを保持しています。針とインデックスに塗布された夜光はホワイトのまま残り、非常に良いコンディションです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

セイコー150mダイバーのセカンドモデルにあたるRef.6105-8000は、後期型のRef.6105-8110「植村ダイバー」と並び評価される存在です。後期型とは異なり、ケースラインは柔らかなCラインを描き、リューズにはロック機構が備わっていない点が特徴です。本個体はその魅力を鮮明に伝える良好な保存状態を誇り、ヴィンテージダイバーズの系譜を語る上で外せない一本です。

BRAND

1960年代は、機械式腕時計は完成期とも言えるほどの発展を遂げた時期で、セイコーは精度コンクールの分野でも量産の分野でも、世界に追いつき、追いぬいた時代であった。同時に、「時計の電子化」が進展し、1969（昭和44）年12月にセイコーが世界初のクオーツ（水晶）腕時計を発売することにより、機械式腕時計からクオーツ腕時計へと大きく舵を切ろうとする時期でもあった。

COMMENT

This is the second-generation Seiko diver, featuring a robust case without crown guards and offering 150 m water resistance. The oversized bezel numerals and bar indexes ensure excellent legibility, while the hands and markers are framed with luminous paint for clarity in low light. Inside is the Cal.6105B, an upgraded version of the Cal.6105A, distinguished by its addition of a hacking function.

The case shows only minor signs of wear and retains its sharp profile. The bezel has a mark near the five-minute position, yet the black print and pointer remain in fine condition overall. The dial displays no signs of aging, preserving its deep black tone. The luminous material on the hands and indexes remains white, attesting to the superb state of preservation. The Ref.6105-8000, Seiko’s second 150 m diver, stands alongside the later Ref.6105-8110 “Uemura Diver” as a highly regarded model. Unlike the later reference, this version is defined by its softer C-shaped case lines and the absence of a crown-lock mechanism. With its outstanding state of preservation, this example clearly conveys the appeal of the model and holds a significant place in the lineage of vintage Seiko divers.

The 1960s marked a period of remarkable progress for mechanical wristwatches, reaching what many consider their peak of refinement. During this era, Seiko not only caught up with but in many cases surpassed international standards, excelling in both chronometry competitions and mass production. At the same time, the industry began shifting toward electronic timekeeping, culminating in December 1969 when Seiko introduced the world’s first quartz wristwatch—a groundbreaking release that signaled the transition from mechanical to quartz technology.
